HOW TO: OFFICE TO EVENING
Transition your work wardrobe from day to night during holiday party season Think sparkle! A sequin tank can easily be worn into the office, under a blazer or cardigan. Lauren Matthews Washington, DC @SFH_VALauren
Accessorizing is the way to go. Adding a fabulous necklace and cocktail ring will complete your look. Mahjuba Levine San Diego, CA @SFH_CAMahjuba
A pencil skirt is a great piece to start with shape-wise, because of its intrinsic sexiness through tailoring. Packing a colorful or metallic wallet clutch in your day bag is a favorite trick of mine!

Roaring twenties tip
Lace can work on all body types, but be sure to wear it on the features you want to highlight.

Cardigan sweaters allow you to layer another pattern, color, and texture underneath each time you wear it which provides more outfit options to wear more frequently rather than a ‘pull-over’ sweater.
If you are just starting to embrace leather, begin with something that incorporates it in the design details - like leather trim. Doreen Dove Boston, MA @SFH_MADoreen

layers without the look of added weight Molly: Vary the textures and weights of your pieces to avoid looking bogged down in too many fabric, then draw attention toward your face with an eyecatching necklace, earrings, or great shade of lipstick.

LAYERS WITHOUT BULK How to pile on warm
Mahjuba Levine San Diego, CA @SFH_CAMahjuba
Lauren: Thin layers, like tissue turtlenecks or long-sleeved tops under sweaters in cotton or wool blends will keep you toasty without making you look like the Michelin Man. Kimberly: If you want to layer without the weight choose lightweight knits. graduating from darker colors on the outer layers to lighter colors in the center can created a slim visual point of interest. Danielle: Add a belt on top. If it sits correctly on the waist then it will cinch in and give you the hourglass shape. Not sure what belt is right for you? Myself or one of my fellow SFH stylists can help with that! Photo Credits: style.com, Topshop, Reiss, River Island, Tilly’s, Elzzabeth & James

Cashmere anything. It works for everyone! Kimberly Marney Topeka, KS @SFH_KSKimberly
Smoking slippers are the right thing to give both genders. They are an affordable, yet stylish luxury. Then maybe they’ll throw away those ratty things they call house slippers!

Geting your under layers perfect is crucial before your wardrobe makeover. None of your clothes will lay correctly unless your bra does! Visit Intimacy - the nation’s bra fit experts - at one of their nationwide locations or www.myintimacy.com to discover your perfect bra. Nancy: Invest in a good convertible bra that will work as a strapless or halter depending on the style of your dress. Make sure the bra color is as close as possible to your skin tone to show through your clothing. Kimberly: Stay away from strapless styles if you are a D cup or larger. The girls need support! If you are in love with a dress that is strapless, a good seamstress can add straps.
A new handbag, in a soft leather that can be worn anywhere. Lauren Matthews Washington, DC @SFH_VALauren
Mahjuba: Some party dresses during the holidays are seethrough, some are slinky. If you’re afraid your bra might show through, take a photo of yourself before heading out to that party. The photo will reveal what others can see - and if your lingerie will show up on Facebook! Photo Credit: Neiman Marcus, Marc Jacobs, Sierra Trading Post, C Wonder, Intermix
