Dance and theatre shows. Art exhibitions and video-art workshops. The great Indian conductor Zubin Mehat as special guest, known and appreciated worldwide for his talent and his humanitarian commitment.

Then, above all, meetings, relations and partnerships: this is the essence of Asolo Art Film Festival. People, able to promote our territory in the world, are its real strength. Asolo International Festival of Films on Art is the oldest festival dedicated to the relationships between cinema and figurative arts: founded in 1973 by film journalist and critic Flavia Paulon, it immediately gained an extraordinary international acclaim. After an interruption in the mid-90s, the festival started again thanks to Attilio Zamperoni, tireless cultural promoter, first with AIAF cultural association and currently with ALA. We dedicate this year’ edition to Attilio, to his commitment and his friendship: may it be a chance to enjoy many art films from many different countries, by established or upcoming directors.

But especially may it be a moment of encounter, of knowledge and of debate between different cultures and different people, in the name of the cross-national and gross-generational dialogue that Attilio taught us to nurture as the only authentic resource for the future.
