Studio  R HE  iBook  -­‐  November  2012 Whatever  happened  to  independent  thinking?  New  ideas?  Designing   something  unique?  Can’t  a  building  be  more  than  a  uniform  box? 
 We  formed  RHE  to  do  something  different.  And  it  worked.  Today  we   have  over  fiGeen  major  design  awards  to  our  name  and  have  delivered   over  fiGy  architectural  projects  around  the  world.

Grace  Belgravia A  Women's  only  member's  club  housed  in  a  Grade  II  listed  Georgian  building  in  Belgravia,  London.

Triton  Court Bringing  a  familiar  face  up  to  date;  we  are  completely  refurbishing  this  familiar  Finsbury  Square   building  to  create  a  vibrant  new  work  space  leading  the  way  forward  for  future  working.

Atrium  Showroom A  carefully  choreographed  intertwined  showroom  which  uElizes  a  series  of  rotaEng,  interlocking  wall   panels  that  transform  the  bright  day-­‐lit  space  to  a  darkened  showroom  with  a  simple  twist.

Pumping  House A  Green-­‐Tech  Tower  in  Newham,  Royal  Docks

Pegaso Live/work  in  the  Hoxton/Barca  Barrio.  A  griOy  urban  building  completed  in  downtown  Hoxton   opposite  '15'.  81  dual  aspect  apartments,  5,000sq.m  of  commercial  and  two  landscaped  courtyards.   Achieves  'Very  Good'  Eco-­‐homes  raEng.

Cellular  Opera<ons ‘'Snaking  across  Swindon's  silicon  tundra  is  a  radical  space-­‐age  design  that  could  be  the  shape  of   things  to  come.  How  strange  that  this  dull  swathe  of  techno  Wiltshire  should  spawn  such  spumante   architecture.'

Prickly  Bay  Waterside,  Grenada High-­‐tech  marine  architecture  inspires  cool  white  water's  edge  luxury  throughout  -­‐  and  a  black   carbon  fibre  staircase  all  with  views  over  this  famous  anchorage.

Studio  R HE  Profile Richard  Hywel  Evans  BA  Hons.  A A  Diploma,  R IBA  M CSD  studied  at
 the  Architectural  Associa<on,  London  from  which  he  Graduated  with  Honours  in   1986.  He  le@  the  U K  to  work  with  the  leading  Architects  of  Australia  including  R AIA   Gold  Medal  winners  Philip  Cox  and  Daryl  Jackson.  During  his  <me  there  he  was   closely  involved  in  the  design  of  the  Sydney  Aquarium,  the  Sydney  Aqua<cs  Centre,   The  Bond  University  and  a  new  high  profile  headquarters  in  Darling  Harbour. Returning  to  London  via  the  U SA,  he  spent  a  two  year  period  with  Richard  Horden  as   part  of  the  Team  which  won  the  Grand  Buildings  Compe<<on  and  the  Epsom  Q E2   Grandstand,  following  which  he  became  the  co-­‐founder  and  sole  European  Director   of  ‘DJI  Ltd.’  running  projects  throughout  Europe  un<l  establishing  ‘Studio  R HE’  in   1997. Since  this  <me  has  enjoyed  a  high  level  of  success  with  Interna<onal  Design   Compe<<ons  and  has  achieved  Prize  winning  schemes  and  Awards  (list  enclosed).  He   has  wriden  and  featured  in  numerous  interna<onal  magazines  and  newspapers   including  ‘ The  Times’,  ‘ The  Guardian’,  ‘ The  Financial  Times’  and  ‘ The  Independent’.   He  has  also  appeared  widely  in  television  programmes,  including  most  notably:  B BC   ‘Happy  Architecture’,  Channel  5  ‘Buildings  of  the  Future’,  and  C NN  ‘Future  Buildings’.
