Just like David facing the Goliath, the creative industry in Indonesia is a mere small fragment when compared to other giant industries. But in reality, the potentials owned by the creative industry cannot be underestimated because it has a significant role in the economy.

This book showcases the situation of the industry nowadays along with the personalities behind it. We Indonesians Rule is not mere documentation. It is a compendium of tales—telling stories, bitter and sweet, about ordinary people with extraordinary achievements. The names compiled in this book are only a small glimpse of the many creative personalities out there. But they are the exceptional individuals who have made a name for themselves internationally in their respective fields. This book strives to show that the passionate Indonesian creative personalities dare to innovate and break the old paradigm in order to bring Indonesia to an unprecedented glory so this nation can share the same stage with other big names one day. The profit of book sales will be donated to the youth development program of Yayasan Cinta Anak Bangsa (YCAB Foundation).
