The BOMB! Elias Hermans - The first Booze On Monday, Baby! (BOMB) or Borrel Op De Eerste Maandag (BODEM) this year was an overwhelming success! No doubt everybody heard the sirens at noon and immediately thought: today is the day for Booze on Monday, Baby! Last 3rd of October, I counted at least 75 ECU'92-members in 'CafĂŠ de Steeg', young and old, drinking like madmen. An absolute record! This excessive drinking probably had something to do with the exams that many students had to take earlier that Monday. The thought of the marks you will receive for your Math & Statistics exam can indeed be a thought better to be drowned with alcohol. Besides this, the BOMB of course is also the perfect opportunity to get to know your fellow ECU'92-members even better. Here and there people were indeed getting to know each other better and better. Maybe it was even the start of some (onenight?) romances.
At the time of writing, I don't know if November's BOMB was as successful as October's, but I certainly hope it was. It's up to you ECU'92-members to make the BOMB a phenomenon, so spread the word and invite all your friends! The next BOMB is on the 5th December, our beloved 'Sinterklaas' holiday. Don't let this stop you coming to the BOMB though. Just celebrate on Sunday, bring your presents to the Steeg and come eat some 'pepernoten' to go with your beer. Also, write in your agenda that January's BOMB will take place on the 9th, not the 2nd, because of the holidays.
