BILIN GUAL PROFESSIONALS Riverside School District & Friends of the Library Bilingual Professionals are off to a good start. With already more than three hundred students enrolled and over one hundred volunteers thus far the program seems it will be a success; that will benefit the students of the Riverside community. Donations have tripled in the last two weeks and the program has been adopted by other neighboring cities as well. Corona Norco School District is currently working with the Program's Director Vanessa Villalobos to start up their District and Friends of the Library in their local libraries also. Many who have seen the benefits of the program thus far have united with other non-profit organizations to help with donations and school materials such as paper, pencils, and other school supplies. The program is catching the attention of many, including the computer company Dell, which has donated over twenty-five computers to the after school tutoring program for Bilingual students. Teachers say they are already seeing improvements in their student's class work and homework. They are grateful this program has come to aide them in helping their students succeed in their academics. Anne Jackson, the Assistant Principal at Los Lobos High School in Riverside has stated that due to this program the prognosis for this year's test scores for their students look promising. If you would like to donate or volunteer for this program, or know a student who can benefit from it, you can contact Bilingual Professionals at: www.bilingualprofessionals.rdu.com or call them at: 951-737-2700.
