In spring, 2012 mining was started in Bartonys IV quarry, which is only 25 kilometers away from Kaunas and 5 kilometers away from Jonava. Now “Upninkėliai Quarry“ produces sand and gravel and sells high quality various fractions sand, pebble pebble chip, bran of pebble chip, sand-gravel mix, accordant to European standarts. Company‘s production is used in production of concrete, asphalt concrete mix, in laying roads, in environment clearing and in other construction works. Though there are a lot of companies in Kaunas and Jonava regions, which started their activity earlier, “Upninkėliai Quarry“ has a big advantages – the mined material here has no clay impurities and gravel and pebble are cold-resistant. Furthermore, Bartonys IV quarry is between five companies according to the quantity of rubble.

Team of “Upninkėliai Quarry“ make a boast of using the most modern sift of famous concern “Wirtgen Group“, which was insistently recommended by the representatives of the concern after assessment of minded material in Bartonys. Laboratory research of “Upninkėliai Quarry“ chip was performed in Germany by courtesy of “Wirtgen Group“ as well.
