Oliva

Cigar Dinner Wednesday, April 7 6:30 pm

Melanio Oliva first grew tobacco in Pinar Del Rio, Cuba in 1886. As the country became overrun by communism, the tobacco landscape changed. Eventually the pressure became too great. In the 1960s, Melanio’s grandson Gilberto traveled from country to country in search of the distinct Cuban taste. His travels took him to Honduras, Panama, Mexico and the Philippines, but he finally found fertile ground in Nicaragua. Today Gilberto and his family are Nicaragua’s second largest grower of Cuban seed tobacco.

What They’re Saying... I just wanted to send you over a quick note about our event on Saturday. Everything for our dinner was absolutely wonderful. All of our employees and my boss raved about the location we chose and how great the food was. Also, I must say that the service was especially outstanding. Our bartender (Justin) was absolutely great and all of the servers did a wonderful job as well. A special thank you to you and your staff for making it such a special evening! Thanks again for everything,

We’re Buena Cubana thankful that technology has allowed us to streamline this Low Dough Dinner process for the benefit of budget and environment. When you get your statement in your email inbox, simply view it and mail in a check (unless you’re on auto pay). It is not necessary to print your statement or return it with your payment.
