THE KOSTER ISLANDS The sea west of Strömstad contains hundreds of islands and rocks. Here, you’ll find the unusual Koster Islands with Kosterhavet National Park. A large part of the islands is a nature reserve with unusual landscape and a species-rich flora. South Koster is the biggest; here the best way to get around is by walking or cycling. In one day you can easily explore the island by bike and still have the time for a swim. North Koster is the smaller of the two and the best way to discover the island is on foot. Apart from fantastic surroundings and outdoor activities there are many opportunities to both stay and eat well, especially during the summer months.
