3 Tyson returned home to Michigan intent on applying his newly acquired knowledge. “I wish you could have been with me. You could have heard a pin drop in that house the whole time I was there,” he told his wife, Dorothy. “And I was with them for about four hours. And guess what? Mrs. Norwood did not look stressed out at all.” “Tyson, I believe in disciplining children. My parents' disciplining me and my siblings was what kept us in line most of the time, so I have no problems with that. I do have a problem disciplining them at the age of three and younger. They hardly know what is going on,” Dorothy said. “They may not know what they are doing, but they do know what they want—whether it is good for them or not,” Tyson said. “At least that's what I have noticed with Dexter, and it is up to us to decide what's good for him when he is this young.” Dorothy taught at the elementary school, first grade and sometimes K-5, before she decided it would be best for her to stay home at least while her children were young.
