Welcome to the latest edition of Spotlight.

We have a really interesting range of articles for you this month including some practical tips to ensure that your website is legally complaint, guidance on effective minute taking at charity meetings, an employment law update on parental leave and an article from Tamsin Eastwood, of our Social Enterprise Team, on investment with a social conscience. Hannah Kubie

considers developments in the field of procurement and new requirements under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

We are supporting research that the Charity Leaders’ Exchange is doing, looking into the issue of whether Charities should be borrowing more in order to increase their impact. It is looking at current and anticipated use of different types of debt finance, and changing attitudes towards such funding. The survey only takes 20 minutes, and all contributors will receive a free copy of the report in late June. If you would like to take part, the survey can be accessed here.

Advertising your buying – are you complying with the new rules?

As we have previously reported, the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 came into force in February and contain new requirements on public procurement. You should be familiar with these rules if they are relevant to you. In April, a further new requirement under those Regulations came into force, requiring all contracting authorities to publish their low value contracts on “Contracts Finder”.
