Teacher INSET session
Right at the heart of British dance, Rambert Dance Company returns to the Regent Theatre, Stoke-on-Trent, this November with an exciting new programme.
Tuesday 2 November, 5 – 8pm On stage at Victoria Hall, Bagnall Street, Stoke-on-Trent, ST1 3AD Cost £15 / £20 (see overleaf for full details)
The performance features Hush by renowned choreographer Christopher Bruce, plus Awakenings, a major new work by Aletta Collins, and the irresistible samba-inspired A Linha Curva, by Itzik Galili, which has been wowing audiences up and down the country. No two performances from Britain's most popular contemporary dance company are ever the same with a constantly changing repertoire and 22 of the world's most versatile dancers. The Rambert Orchestra adds another thrilling dimension to each performance. Accompanying the Awakenings Tour, Rambert offers a number of education activities to support and enhance your theatre visit.
Designed for secondary school teachers, the session focuses on acclaimed British choreographer Christopher Bruce and the award-winning Hush, a piece that features his stylistic trademarks and choreographic techniques. Ideas and tasks will be explored which you can take back to the classroom and use with students to create their own work, gaining a greater understanding and interpretation of Bruce's choreographic style.

Rambert information resources “The whole ‘Rambert experience’ was fantastic. The animateur engaged with the students from the onset. All students were absorbed and are still buzzing from their achievements now. Positive and extremely valuable for all involved!” Feedback from a school teacher
