St. Timothy Middle School REPORT OF ANNUAL GIVING 2018

Mission: We are a Roman Catholic community that fosters the development of mind, body and spirit in a challenging academic environment. We guide students to realize their full potential in becoming productive and ethical people who will contribute to a more just and peaceful world.

Philosophy: At Saint Timothy Middle School, we educate the whole child. Our goals and objectives reflect a deep concern for the spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional and social development of all students. As educators, the faculty of Saint Timothy Middle School has the special responsibility of encouraging each student to achieve his or her potential within the framework of Christian spiritual truths and values. Academic excellence through the light of faith is of the highest importance at our school. Our school philosophy is built on a foundation of respect within our community. This respect is evident in the relationships between teachers, staff and students. Acknowledging that parents are the first educators of the child, we strive to support families who want the Christian values that they instill at home to be fortified at school. Saint Timothy Middle School is a place

where parents, teachers, students and parishioners form a community that works together in charity and service.

December 2018

Dear Friends of St. Timothy Middle School, In my journey as an educational leader, I feel so grateful for the special opportunity to lead two fabulous institutions for learning: St. Timothy Middle School and St. Thomas the Apostle. St. Timothy Middle School continues to be a beacon of academic excellence that bolsters students to contribute to a more just and peaceful world. As I have settled into my position here, I have witnessed this firsthand.

This academic year, our school family has been participating in the Choose Love Program, a social and emotional classroom program. It has allowed our students to translate the Gospel messages in new ways. By reflecting on the program’s eight key character values, our students have looked within themselves for ways to make their hearts and minds more open to accepting the light of faith and sharing it with others.

The financial support from our school community, comprised of faculty, parents, alumni and friends, as well as our parish family sustains our mission of excellence in the light of faith. With your help, we will continue this mission for years to come.

I invite you to strengthen your relationship with St. Timothy Middle School by exploring our website. While nothing can replace a personal visit to our school, our website will allow you to see the energy and commitment to excellence which grows stronger each day.

After reviewing these materials, please consider making an online donation to this year’s Annual Fund. You can also mail your donation to: St. Timothy Middle School 225 King Philip Drive West Hartford, CT 06117 However you give, please know that we are truly thankful for your support!

Sincerely,

Colleen Whitty DiSanto Principal 3 St. Timothy Middle School | 2018 Report of Annual Giving
