Bambisanani: Ten Years of Working Together and Learning Together The Bambisanani Partnership is a unique collaboration which was developed by St. Mary’s Catholic High School, Menston in the UK and Mnyakanya High School in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, using sport as a catalyst to promote education, health, global citizenship and leadership. Bambisanani is a Zulu word meaning ‘working hand in hand’ and aptly encapsulates the work and aspiration of the partnership which has been nurtured and sustained for ten years. The partnership is an award winning charity that has gained international acclaim for its pioneering work now involving other schools, universities and charities in both the UK and South Africa. This book chronicles an amazing story of challenge, determination and hope from 2006 to 2016. It is a testimony to the power of sport and what can be achieved when two very different communities commit to working together and learning together in a genuine partnership.
