WELCOME TO ST. MARY’S

In 1881, God gave a small group of miners a mission to bring to these mountains the world’s greatest treasure: the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, the Eucharist, and the Faith and Charity that flow from Him.

Today, that mission has spread from the streets of Old Town Park City, to the meadows of White Pine Canyon, to the Heber Valley and beyond. St. Mary’s seeks to evangelize, catechize, give back in Charity, and enrich the community through the Catholic Faith and its intellectual, artistic, and cultural traditions. To bring all the treasure of Jesus Christ, for the salvation of souls, and the Greater Glory of God!

St. Mary’s is a sanctuary of Charity! Community partners like Park City Community Foundation, Peace House, Holy Cross Ministries, and more, look to St. Mary’s for help with providing those in need with housing assistance. And your gifts to the charity fund provide homes, food, clothing, diapers, and more to hundreds of local families in need each year, many of whom are single mothers and young children.

Today, the demand for assistance is greater than ever, but through your support and the incredible work of our new Director of Charity Maria Villar, St. Mary’s is bringing the love of Christ to more families in need than ever before. Your generous gift to the charity fund will help raise an additional $300,000 this year to help those most in need.

SECOND COLLECTION DATES: JANUARY 15 THROUGH FEBRUARY 8

The Diocese of Salt Lake City is committed to helping those in need throughout the world. We do this through second collections in support of worthy causes. This weekend, a second collection is being taken up for Latin America.

You can help strengthen families, fund Catholic education, and foster priestly and religious vocations by giving to the Collection for the Church in Latin America.

For over 50 years, Catholics in the United States have expressed solidarity with the Church from Mexico to the Caribbean, to the southern tip of South America through the Collection.

While in medical school at Tulane University, she founded the Catholic Medical Association Student Section. She completed a master’s degree in bioethics from Ohio State University, partnering with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops to improve education around palliative care for Catholic laity.

Through explaining palliative care and hospice, physician assisted suicide and euthanasia, and common ethical issues that can come up, this talk will work to correct many common misunderstandings and help inform and empower you to be an advocate for the dignity of vulnerable people around this time of life.

DIVINE MERCY RETREAT

AT ST. MARY OF THE ASSUMPTION - PARK CITY

HAPPENING FEBRUARY 21 - 22, 2025 | ST. MARY’S PARK CITY

All are invited to a Divine Mercy Retreat at St. Mary’s of the Assumption in Park City on February 2122, 2025, with Fr. Jim McCormack, MIC. The Diocese of Salt Lake City welcomes all Catholics in Utah to encounter Jesus in the Sacraments and understand, in a new way, His love and mercy for them through the message of Divine Mercy for our particular times.

The retreat will be composed of convicting talks inspired by Jesus’ words to St. Faustina, contained in her Diary. This retreat is aimed to inspire us in the ways we can console the heart of Jesus today. There will be ample prayer time and Eucharistic Adoration, small group opportunities, and shared meals on Saturday.

FEBRUARY 21

6:30 PM - 9 PM

Talk, followed by Adoration the last hour beginning at 8 PM.

FEBRUARY 22

8:30 AM - 4 PM

Mass at 8:30 AM followed by Continental Breakfast; talks start at 10 AM.

Father Jim McCormack, MIC, is a passionate and dedicated priest of the Congregation of Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception. Despite initially resisting a call to the priesthood that he first felt in graduate school, his life took a profound turn after a broken engagement and a transformative pilgrimage to Italy in 2002, where he encountered Pope St. John Paul II and experienced a moment of clarity while praying at the Holy House of Loreto.

He was ordained a priest with the Marian Fathers in 2010 and went on to earn a licentiate in the Theology of the Consecrated Life in Rome. Over the past decade, he has served as novice master and superior in Washington, DC. He now resides in Yorkville, Illinois where he brings his vibrant faith and unique journey to his role as Parochial Vicar at St. Patrick Parish.
