1. The Guild of Friendship meets tomorrow at 2.15pm in the Church Hall. All welcome 2. Prayer Diary. The November 2013 Grouping (Triskeles) Prayer Diary is available in the vestibule. 3. The Strollers meet on Tuesday 19 November at 10.00am outside the TSB, Holburn Junction. All welcome. 4. Jesus Christ Superstar. Tickets are now available from Anne Donaldson for St Mark’s Players’ production of Jesus Christ Superstar on Thursday 21, Friday 22 and Saturday 23 November at 7.30pm nightly with a Matinee performance at 2.30pm on the Saturday. 5. O.A.K. Christmas Lunch. Tickets for the lunch on Wednesday 11 December are on sale at the Café (price £13.50). Tickets for Thursday 12 December are SOLD OUT. 6. Bethany Christian Trust is looking for volunteers to help with Christmas Caring Trees. Volunteers are required to drive their delivery van and drop off trees on 5th, 6th, 13th and 14th December
and also to run their Christmas Tree collection sites at Banchory Christian Fellowship and Mannofield Church on 13th (15.00 – 19.30) and 14th December (10.00 – 15.30). This project is great for groups, teams or individuals keen to get involved with a local Charity, learn some new skills and have a great time while helping to support those who are homeless and in need in Scotland. Christmas Coffee Mornings are being held on 7, 14 and 21 December. Board and Session members and anyone else who can help on any of these dates are asked to add their names to the list in the Vestibule. 8. Please help yourself to a copy of Alive & Active in the vestibule, an interesting magazine from The Bible Society. No charge. 9. Mpachika Malawi Fund Raiser on Thursday 28 November. Theme: “Candles, Cakes & Cosmetics for Christmas”. Tickets £3 each to include refreshments are available now from David Yacamini, Margaret Donald, Carol Main, Bethany and Beatrice. Raffle donations gratefully received. 10. Presbytery Training. Presbytery is holding a training workshop at 7.30pm on 20 November (Holburn West Church). If anyone is interested in attending the Christian Resources Exhibition in Edinburgh on 27 November, please speak to Diane. There will be various seminars and displays of Christian Resources.
12. SPUC (Society for the Protection of Unborn Children) are holding a meeting in Aberdeen on Saturday, 23 November at 11.45am in St. Peter’s RC Church, Justice Street, Aberdeen when Leonora-Maria Blackhall will speak on Education4Life (SPUC’S Education programme). All welcome. The talk will be followed by the Society’s quarterly business meeting. Members and supporters may stay for the meeting or leave after the talk. Tea and coffee will be provided but you should bring a packed lunch. 13. If anyone has a specific idea on how we can commemorate the sacrifice people made in World War 1, please let Rev Diane, Ian or Marjorie Lord or any Elder know. 14. Walk for Passion. Aberdeen Passion are arranging a walk from Stonehaven to Portsoy (100 miles) along beaches and cliff tops during the week 25 November to 1 December, 2013 to raise funds for Aberdeen Passion 2014. Giving Tree. We are, once again supporting the Giving Tree Appeal. Further information, together with gift tags is available in the Open Area. If you take a tag, please add a note of the tag identification on the separate sheet, giving the details shown on the tag (see the example on the sheet). Gifts should be available for uplifting by the Appeal organisers by 2 December.
