2. The Summer Coffee Shop will be open again on Saturday 31 August. Please come along and support it. 3. Stewardship Programme: Elders are asked to uplift copies of a Stewardship Programme Flyer to be delivered to their districts as soon as possible. 4. Please remember to make your telephone calls during the month of September. All calls should be completed by 30 September. Updated telephone survey forms are now available in the vestibule and should be returned to David Yacamini by Sunday 6 October. 5. EARLY NOTICE: a) The Malawi Lunch is on 8th September. b) The Come and discuss Questions of Faith after the service has changed to 15 September. Bring a packed lunch. Teas and coffees will be provided. c) The Social Committee are to hold a Quiz and Stovies night in the Church Hall on Saturday, 19 October. Tickets will be available shortly. 6. Strollers will meet on Tuesday, 27 August at the Co-op on Holburn Street/Great Southern Road. All welcome. 7. Circle of Care. Invitations to the Circle of Care Communion on 13 October are available, for distribution by Elders, today in the vestibule. Volunteer drivers are also required. If you can help, please add your name to the list in the vestibule. 8. Health Walk Leader Training Course. Please see the poster in the hall if you are interested in becoming a trained walk leader in your local community.


9. The Oak Café. A special lunch will be held on Thursday, 5 September (11.30am to 1.00pm) in aid of Ucan. Tickets can be obtained from Malcolm and Betty Steel. 10. Doors Open Day. Volunteers are needed for Doors Open Day on Saturday, 14 September (10.00am – 4.00pm). If yo9u can help, even for just a short period, to meet visitors and hand out information booklets, please add your name to the sheet in the vestibule, together with a note of the times you are available. 11. “Ascension” – A new Christian worship experience is being launched in St. Marks, to take place on the last Sunday of every month from 5pm to 6pm, starting on Sunday, 29 September. This will appeal particularly to young people, however all are welcome. For further information, please speak to Diane. ELDERS: Please check the Elders file in the Deacons Room today 12. The Mission & Discipleship Council is holding the fourth in a series of regional events, on 5 October, 2013, at North Kirk, 95 John Street, Penicuik (10.00am to 3.45pm). This event is free but registration is required for catering purposes. 13. The Aberdeen Passion: Auditions for Cast, Choir and Band in this production are to be held on Thursday, 12 September in Bridge of Don Baptist Church Centre, Dubford Road, Bridge of Don – 7.30 to 9.30. Rehearsals will begin on Thursday 26 September. 14. The Aberdeen City Centre Parish Grouping (Triskeles) Prayer Circle will meet in St. Nicholas Uniting on Wednesday, 4th September at 2.30pm. You would be made most welcome. 15. The September 2013 Grouping Prayer Diary is available from today. 16. An Act of Remembrance for those lost to suicide is being held by the Aberdeen City and Shire Choose Life Steering Group in the Town and County Hall, Townhouse, Union Street, Aberdeen on Sunday, 11 September at 2.00pm. The event is open to the public and refreshments will be served. 17. Rev. Diane Hobson will be unavailable until 7 September. If you need the services of a Minister, please contact Rev.
