“Be holy because I, the LORD your God, am holy.” Leviticus 19:2.

Integrated Units: Lutheran Schools Week, Dr. Seuss, St. Patrick’s Day A Closer Look… Jesus Time: Salvation Our class will be learning about Jesus and the story of Salvation during the next few weeks. Specifically, we will study the events leading up to and through Holy Week. Actually, we have been learning of Jesus and salvation throughout the whole year because all of God’s Word point to this redeeming plan for us. Jesus did what we couldn’t do for ourselves. He lived a perfect life. Though innocent, He took the punishment for sin; and because He is true God, He came alive again after His death on the cross. He did all this to defeat sin, death, and Satan. We praise God because, amazingly, “He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57). As a forgiven and saved child of God, be a model of forgiveness to your own child. With patience and without anger, speak forgiveness to your child. Admit when you are wrong and ask your child to forgive you. Pray that God will help you live in an environment guided by His ways and His will. Blessings, Miss Stellwagen Prayers:  Comfort and a speedy recovery to Mrs. Jahnke, who will be having hip surgery  Thanksgiving for Lutheran schools across the nation, especially St. John, and blessings on their continued ministry in nurturing disciples for Christ

Lutheran Schools Week This is National Lutheran Schools Week! This is a week to celebrate and encourage children, families, and teachers working and growing in our Lutheran schools. The theme this year is "Securing each Child's Future for a Life of Service” based on 1 Corinthians 12:5. During Lutheran Schools Week, as we celebrate the uniqueness of our schools, we also remember the Gospel message that is given to us through our Savior Christ Jesus. It is also our responsibility to remember that we are asked to go and tell the message to all we meet. Each day we have devotions together as a school, and participate in school-wide service projects and events. It’s a great way to celebrate!
