Homework 2: What do we mean by time? Placing something into chronological order means putting it into the order it happened. For example; My day- come home, go to school, have tea, get up, go to bed. In chronological order it would be: My day- get up, go to school, come home, have tea, go to bed. Placing dates in chronological order is exactly the same. For example: 1996, 2003, 2010, 1991, 1970 In chronological order would be: 1970, 1991, 1996, 2003, 2010

Tasks for you: ( In the back of your exercise book) Place these dates in chronological order: A) 1999, 1993, 1996, 1991, 1998 B) 1745, 1702, 1776, 1715, 1791

Homework 3: Research skills Task: In the back of your exercise book write down 5 facts you can find about Elizabeth I. e.g. When she ruled Did she have children When did she die Did she win any wars What countries did she rule

Homework 4: Elizabeth I- Have you been learning?

Task: Complete in the back of your exercise book. Choose at least 3 symbols and explain why Elizabeth I would have wanted these painted in her portraits. e.g. One symbol shown in the portrait is a bread basket painted as a hat. Elizabeth would have wanted this to show she could feed her people. Challenge yourself: Write a paragraph to show why Elizabeth I would have needed to use symbols like this. __________________________________________________________________-

Homework 6 and 7: Henry VIII and his wives research. Task: Choose one wife of Henry VIII and create a one page A4 fact file about her. Include: When and where she was born. How many children did she have. What happened to her. When did she marry Henry. What did she look like.
