EXPLORERS is the Children’s Network for 0-11s. Each week we begin in church before going to our groups in the Church Centre. Children need to be collected at 12.00 noon. ROOTS is our Network for 11-18s. We meet down in the Church Centre at 10.20am each Sunday morning and on Friday night from 7-9pm in the Church Centre. STUDENTS are an integral part of the community here and we run student networks during term time. See the network board in the foyer for details.
REFRESHMENTS are served after services in the Community Room. INDUCTION LOOP St George’s is fitted with an induction loop; please speak to a Steward for assistance. PASTORAL CARE We are seeking to be a community where everyone can be supported and cared for. We encourage you to ask for support, or get someone to ask on your behalf and we will respond as best we can.
GIVING There is an opportunity to give during the service. If you intend to give regularly, please pick up Standing Order and Gift Aid forms in the foyer. PRAYER MINISTRY is offered during and after services at the front of church. If you would like to pray about anything, please ask one of our trained prayer ministers. SERMONS are available online. 11.30, Wed 29 May, Church A great opportunity to share the love of Jesus with those walking across the bridge near our church. We serve hot drinks and offer conversation and prayer for those passing by. If you would like to help please contact Jon.

We are pleased to announce that Mark Powley has accepted the role of Director of St Barnabas Theological Centre. He will remain Associate Rector of St George’s, working here two days a week from September. More details about SBTC’s leadership and theological training will be released shortly

Sat 1 June - Prayer Tue 4 - Sat 8 June - Events The Project is a 5-day, fun-filled, community outreach in Hyde Park. We will be serving the area through 8 teams, from baking to gardening, music to evangelism, litter picking to prayer. There is so much to get involved with! There will be a time of prayer on the 1st June. We finish on Sat 8th with a family fun day on Woodhouse Moor. Please help! Sign up online.
7-10pm, Thu 6 June, Centre Please come to a relaxing evening with the international student network, meet with our students, watch international students perform and try foods from different countries. We welcome everyone who is interested in different cultures and people. There will be info about our network, and lots of fun! Please book by email.
21st - 26th August We will be running a 24/7 tea, coffee and prayer tent, the lost property tent and a detached team across the campsite of 120,000 people. We need volunteers (over 18s only) but training will be given and good people skills are essential. Volunteers need to commit a minimum of 20 hours to get a free wristband, and options for accommodation are available. Contact Beth for more info.
7.30pm, Fri 14 June, Church Lorna James is coming to Leeds as part of her ‘Over the Pond’ tour. The soprano is joined by pianist Tom Henderson for a night of music from the UK and USA. See the website for info.
Changing the law on marriage will have huge long-term effects on our society. Please continue to pray for Parliament as the bill goes to the House of Lords; also for our Bishops and Archbishops, the Church of England General Synod and St George’s PCC as we all respond to the changes in society. If you want to get involved in the campaign, go to C4M.org.uk; for access to good pastoral resources for anyone struggling with same sex attraction, contact the True Freedom Trust website; to help you think the issues through, I recommend ‘Biblical and Pastoral Responses to Homosexuality’ by Andrew Goddard and Don Horrocks, which will be available on the bookstall soon. 12-1pm, Thursdays, Emmanuel Centre Are you a masters or PhD student, postdoc or staff? Leeds PGCF meets weekly for discussion and prayer. Upcoming topics include Homosexuality (with chaplains Matt Ward & Anthea Colledge); Cultural decision-making (Matt Armstrong) and discussion on "Don't impose your beliefs on other people".
