EXPLORERS is the Children’s Network for 0-11s. Each week we begin in church before going to our groups in the Church Centre. Children need to be collected at 12.00 noon. ROOTS is our Network for 11-18s. We meet down in the Church Centre at 10.20am each Sunday morning and on Friday night from 7-9pm in the Church Centre. STUDENTS are an integral part of the community here and we run student networks during term time. See the network board in the foyer for details.
REFRESHMENTS are served after services in the Community Room. INDUCTION LOOP St George’s is fitted with an induction loop; please speak to a Steward for assistance. PASTORAL CARE We are seeking to be a community where everyone can be supported and cared for. We encourage you to ask for support, or get someone to ask on your behalf and we will respond as best we can.
GIVING There is an opportunity to give during the service. If you intend to give regularly, please pick up Standing Order and Gift Aid forms in the foyer. PRAYER MINISTRY is offered during and after services at the front of church. If you would like to pray about anything, please ask one of our trained prayer ministers. SERMONS are available online. Representing St George's on the local Deanery Synod is a good way of engaging the church in the mission of Headingley Deanery. We are currently represented by two church members and are looking for 2 more to join them, who will also serve on our PCC. To express an interest in this role, please contact Janet Gibson.

7-8.30pm, Fri 28 June, Church KPM are calling on ALL Christians (any age!) to learn a flash-mob style dance to an original track. Come and light up the streets of Leeds as part of the Hope for the Nations event on July 6th. There will be a teaching session here (nominal fee of £2) to learn the 5 minute dance - it's not difficult - so get on board!

We like to give our children’s team a rest during the Summer holidays, so are looking for volunteers to help us run the children’s activities from 28 July – 25 August. We can provide activities and training - no previous experience is necessary. Volunteers will need a CRB check and these take time, so please get in touch with Jennifer ASAP if you are able to help out.
This is an exciting opportunity from the University of Cumbria, who are seeking applicants for the role of Chaplaincy Intern for the academic year 2013-14 in the historic city of Carlisle. The role is paid, with expenses, and involves assisting in planting a new church aimed at people in the 18-30 age-group, stretching your skills in preaching and pastoral care. Luke Lynam and a friend are cycling from Morecambe to Bridlington in aid of a charity called Building Malawi. They will cycle 170 miles in 2 days starting on 6 July to raise money to build a school, library and sport facilities in Lilongwe, Malawi. 21 - 26 August 2013 We will be running a 24/7 tea, coffee and prayer tent, the lost property tent and a detached team across the campsite of 120,000 people. We need volunteers (over 18s only) but training will be given and good people skills are essential. Volunteers need to commit a minimum of 20 hours to get a free wristband, and options for accommodation are available. Contact Beth for more info.
