St Mary’s Hospital Specialist Brain Injury Service Treatment programmes can be developed for both inpatient and outpatients. Working closely with the patient and their families, the rehabilitation team will help to set short and long term treatment goals for recovery St Mary’s Hospital, delivers specialist neurorehabilitation for men with a brain injury including degenerative brain disorders. The service provides person centred cognitive neurorehabilitation programmes for the most challenging and complex brain injury patients within a multi disciplinary team framework in both secure and locked ward environments.

Developed and delivered by a person centred MDT, the philosophy of care at St Mary’s hospital is based on maximising the patients quality of life and to facilitate social and community reintegration through recovery and rehabilitation.
St Mary’s Hospital welcomes referrals from across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
A strong emphasis is placed on working towards agreed outcomes, whilst recognising that fluctuations in wellbeing may impact on recovery and the social aspect of everyday life. The hospital is part of the local community and patients are encouraged wherever possible to engage in local community life. UK referrals can be made via our referrals team or directly through the website: www.stgeorgehealthcaregroup.org.uk/referrals We will acknowledge your referral within 24 hours of receipt and will co-ordinate an assessment at the earliest opportunity in collaboration with relevant providers. Emergency assessments will be carried out where requested. Each person referred to the service will have a comprehensive multi-disciplinary assessment report developed to meet their specific needs which will inturn inform suitability for admission.
