ORACLE // Austin, TX // 560,000 sf Completed in March 2018, Oracle’s new urban waterfront campus in Austin is designed to attract, retain and inspire top talent—including the many millennials now entering the workforce. The vision is a facility that inspires outstanding employee performance while enhancing comfort and well-being. The design includes flexible, forward-thinking spaces featuring large floorplates and ten-foot ceilings for abundant natural light, and thoughtful connections to nature and the outdoors—including a stunning outdoor plaza—that provide workers with the opportunity to reflect and recharge. Amenities include multiple cafes and state-of-the-art wellness and fitness facilities.
INDEED SALES OFFICE // Austin, TX // 38,000 sf Indeed’s expanding sales team recently relocated their downtown office from 8th and Congress to 5th and Colorado. The sports-themed space incorporates an industrial design with a flair of sophistication to inspire employees and boost morale. The largest conference room elicits masculine attire, utilizing custom leather accents as drawer pulls and a variety of traditional suit fabrics as upholstery, with similar elements featured in collaboration areas throughout the office. The space offers a large dining hall, gaming area, open office layout and a variety of collaboration spaces to expand on the culture that has defined Indeed’s headquarters in Austin’s hill country, a space STG Design also helped to create. Graduated platform seating lends to the communal atmosphere, while a gong allows employees to celebrate reaching sales goals as their chosen “theme song” is pumped through overhead speakers.
WILSONART // Temple, TX // 31,000 sf Wilsonart approached STG Design to provide architecture and interior design services for its new American headquarters. The goal of the Wilson Center was to showcase the company’s capabilities and unique products while providing a unifying and versatile workspace. The sloped roof uniquely frames the entrance with striated red metal paneling that pops against the transparent all-window lobby and native limestone building. The front desk features a custom-printed laminate digitally reproduced of the break room reclaimed wood flooring. The main hallway serves as a central artery connecting the lobby to a relaxing break room at the back of the building. This corridor offers access to an open-space café and outdoor patio which encourage breaks and spontaneous employee collaboration. Wilsonart’s new space maximizes the potential to beautifully display the company’s cutting edge products while maximizing its employees’ potential.
EVENTBRITE // Nashville, TN // 12,000 sf STG Design recently designed Eventbrite’s new Nashville office. Eventbrite’s culture encourages employees to express themselves freely and they wanted a space that enables that. As clients and employees walk through the entry, they are greeted by Edison bulb pendant lights, a metal marquee and a reception desk made from reclaimed wood. These details introduce the audience to the language of the space’s impactful scale. STG’s designers used Eventbrite’s recognizable orange logo color throughout the space to give the office a branded feel. The open office is equipped with game rooms, therapy rooms, large break rooms and even a hammock room to relax. Their amenity-centric space was designed with a collaborative nature in mind. The design mixes vintage and reclaimed items with clean lines and modern, simplistic accents. The space is buzzing with tangible energy, created by a neutral pallet accentuated with pops of color.
STITCH FIX // Austin, TX // 18,000 sf As an online personal styling service, Stitch Fix hired STG Design to create a similarly fashion-forward interior for its new Austin office space. The interior design reflects a neutral color palette with varied textures and patterns giving the space depth and interest. Corporate color branding is infused in a variety of ways throughout, including gypsum ceiling accents, doors, accent furniture and accessories. The furniture design combines both commercial and residential pieces which, in turn, keep the interior fresh, modern and hip.
RETAILMENOT // Austin, TX // 100,000 sf RetailMeNot has repeatedly come to the STG Design team for interior design services in multiple phases as they acquired other coupon sites, re-branded, and expanded their office to include additional levels. The company’s culture fosters engagement of the employees in the new space with an open, energetic feel and consistency throughout the space. The interior finish-out was centered upon meeting the needs of the rapidly growing team, each space serving multiple functions. To maintain the original concept of a simulated online shopping experience, interactive signage and other retail elements are used throughout, including a two-story video wall with interchangeable videos of all their website partners, a timeline wall that shows the company’s growth, and an interactive calendar wall that highlights all the key dates of major shopping deals.
HAWKEYE PARTNERS // Austin, TX // 11,000 sf Hawkeye Partners specializes in customized investment programs in real estate private equity. Their leaders engaged STG Design to help plan their space in the newly constructed Colorado Tower located in downtown Austin. Being very clean and minimal in taste, STG helped create a timeless design that kept the cool tones requested by the client, but also incorporated some warmth with various wooden elements. One of those elements, the backdrop of their logo, creates a bold statement immediately off the elevator lobby. Drawing the eye of the viewer from the elevator lobby into their space, it forges an image not to be forgotten. Bright white tones are continued in the office area accented by cool carpet. Glass front offices on the perimeter, maintain the office’s open feel, allowing all occupants to enjoy the natural light.
