Commitment brings a vision, discipline makes it reality and a mentor makes it all easier.
Last month we spoke about how to powerfully finish a year and envision the future for the coming year. Now, one month has passed. It’s the end of January and I’m asking “How are you doing with your vision for 2014?”. This website is all about freedom and I want to help you towards being your full potential and being truly free. As this is the nearly endless journey of being more and more free, it’s an important step to learn about vision and commitment.
Discipline in Business & Wellness This does take discipline! A lot of people who want to be free, think they want to be free of discipline, because discipline is like a punishment. But, at a certain part on the journey towards optimum well being and true freedom, discipline becomes an ally and a friend. So, it is really important to make a plan; have a vision; break the vision down into goals and break down the goals into daily action steps. Without self discipline it is just so much easier NOT to do it and that is why most people’s New Year’s resolutions fail. Therefore, by the end of January, most people have given up on their New Year’s resolutions.
Commitment – Visions, Goals & Steps So, if you come to me for help, as The Wellness/Freedom Mentor, I would like to help you with this big, scary word, ‘commitment’. And, it is very simple; as soon as we break it down into visions, goals and action steps – it’s a little bit at a time, every day making another step on the journey towards optimum well being and true freedom.
Finding a Mentor – Break out of your comfort zone I’ve been on this journey for a long time and I know how how hard it is without help.
The most important thing on my journey were my mentors. The people who helped me see a little bit further than I could see and helped me stretch myself a little bit further than I would have gone. To me, that is the way to grow, to stretch a little bit beyond what is comfortable, because if you stay in your comfort zone you will stay where you are right now. Even if it may not be comfortable where you are right now, it is your comfort zone. So to break out of there and to break out in the right direction does take discipline.
