who all wish to honor you for all you are, all you do and all you mean to us
Becky, 24 years of your warm-hearted spirit. 24 years of your thoughtfulness and understanding. 24 years of your loving, constant support. 24 years of your gracious, extraordinary talents as an example to follow. I am thankful everyday that you are in my life. You will never know the many ways you inspire and guide me. All my love on your 70th.
We are a force to be reckoned with to
Happy, happy 35th anniversary of your 35th birthday!!!
say the least!
Okay – so not really sure where to begin! Just how do
All of my (our) love to you on this
you get down on paper what your mom means to you? And
very special day. It’s a celebration of all
you’ve accomplished and how many more
wonderful things there are to come….
Here’s what I know… There are many who have never
been fortunate enough to have a mother like we have. I am grateful every single day for you — for your love, your caring, support and generosity. Never has a day gone by that I haven’t felt you had my best interests at heart (although in my teen years that were filled with words like “so, fine, whatever” I’m sure it was hard to tell!). Also, there are not many who can say they’ve had the adventures you’ve taken me on and those are memories I will forever cherish.
Perhaps the biggest gift you have given me is the example of how to be a mother. A loving, caring and dependable “safe haven” for Steph. Without you to show me this, I would not be the mother I am today. That is in thanks to you. I look at her and am so proud that the legacy of the McKinley/Schaaf/Inch/Smith/Frinsko ladies continues!
(Steph & Steve, too!)
in loving memory

Dearest Becky, On the eve of your 70th Birthday, I want to toast to you and all that you mean to me. I feel so blessed to have had so many wonderful experiences with you over the course of my life. As a little girl, I remember the glamorous Beck and Mom by the pool, handing out popsicles. I remember watching the 4th of July Fireworks at the Beach Club while your own fireworks went off with one Pete Smith. You have always been a safe lap to crawl into, a warm hug to share, and a boisterous laugh with which to join with a giggle. Your taste in art filled my senses in a new way, the ranch exposed me to the incomparable Joe Schaaf and that fantasy life with horses and go-carts. Life as a child in the Smith/Inch/Gates family was good stuff! As I became a perfectly delightful teenager, you took my black/red/whatever hair in stride while Mom had a fit, and you provided a shoulder that wasn’t parental but was needed!!! Clearly our trip to Sri Lanka is a standout as we experienced travel with the ladies… my oh my. I was educated in the ways of Long Duck Dong and river navigation by way of screaming mothers and wet, pushing daughters. I learned how to talk back to you in that Thai river! You took my corruption of little Soners in stride and we all handled the emotions of the trip as only 5 women would – with laughter, tears, and a few strong words to be sure. Your infectious energy, love of life, and loving nature have served a pivotal role in who I am today. You have always been a safe pillow on which to lay my head and for that I am eternally grateful. I rely on your counsel, your laughter, but most importantly, simply your presence in my life. I don’t know that you can ever truly understand how much I love and cherish you. I can only hope that my boys are fortunate enough to have adults in their life that love them unconditionally as you always have me. Happy Birthday!!! I love you very much, xoxo Whit
Good old friends! Becky, you are the best. We love you. John & Beth
