I completed a weeks work experience at Grey and during this time worked closely with the Account Service team on various projects, including the preparation of reports and support documents for a new business pitch for Ocean Spray. I observed the preparation for a pitch to Bird's Eye, in which the boardroom was transformed into a freezer stocked with frozen food products! I also worked with the Creative team, whereby a brief was approached and ideas developed then translated. I then observed a shoot for a new TVC and worked through the relevant post-production methods. The Taboo Group, South Yarra- (October till Present) Currently I am completing an internship at The Taboo Group. Here I am working closely with the Account Manager for Witchery and Chupa Chups. This involves researching trends and ideas for pitches to new clients, organizing promotional activations, writing up footfall reports, drafting Terms and Conditions and sitting in with clients for meetings. RETAIL Marie Louise de Monterey – Paris III I managed a small Vintage boutique in Paris III for one month alone, whilst the proprietor was in Australia. This job included making sales, updating the sales in excel, arranging the stock and preparing the store for the famous Paris ‘Soldes’ (sales) period. Chanel Boutique Melbourne, Melbourne –(December 2008- February 2009) Working at Chanel as a Christmas casual was a privilege. From refined and top quality customer service to administration such as transferring stock, counting stock, quality checking and visual merchandising. Madam Virtue, Melbourne –(July 2009- August 2010) I work as a sales assistant and also as PR for the store, which includes a variety of duties. I work with stylists to organise locations, models, clothing for fashion magazine shoots. Organise fashion events, in particular the after party following Madam Virtue’s fashion show/ exhibition as part of Melbourne L’Oreal Fashion Week 2009 as Laurent Perrier as a sponsor. This involved press releases and inviting guests as well as assisting the curating of the exhibition and fashion show. I set up a
promotional fashion shoot with Bryan Boy (representative of Marc Jacobs) in association with ACMI for fashion week 09. And write a monthly newsletter to VIP clients about up-coming events, sales and what the staff at Madam Virtue have been doing!

Personal statement : As it is my final year of university, I am excited and ready to launch myself into the work force. I have acquired many skills through out my Media and Communications course spanning across; Advertising, Media Ethics, Graphic Design, Business, Economics and Politics in relation to the Media field. In particular, my strengths lie in the field of Film and Television (my specialisation), which I want to apply to the ‘real world’ and hope to learn and extend these skills in the process. I feel that one of my most valuable attributes are that I have studied Film and Television during a period of great change in the industry. We now have webisodes, instant streaming online, blogs, YouTube and many other issues such as piracy and convergence that affect the industry. I feel that my education at RMIT has opened my eyes to accepting these modern elements as growth and to use these mechanisms to the advantage of a product/ film rather then only operating within traditional methods of production and distribution. Furthermore, as my course has integrated many different elements of the Media and Communications sphere, I am able to merge different skills together in order to practice modern, forwardthinking and practical means of communication.
After working at Grey Advertising and The Taboo Group, I have greatly extended my knowledge in these industries and look to work in at strategic departments of such fields.
