JOLLY OLD ST. NICHOLAS Jolly ol’ Saint Nicholas, Lean your ear this way! Don’t you tell a single soul What I’m going to say: Christmas Eve is coming soon; Now, you dear old man Whisper what you’ll bring to me; Tell me if you can. When the clock is striking twelve, When I’m fast asleep Down the chimney, broad and black,
With your pack you’ll creep All the stockings you will find Hanging in a row Mine will be the shortest one, You’ll be sure to know. Bobby wants a pair of skates, Suzy wants a sled Nellie wants a picture book, Yellow, blue and red Now I think I’ll leave to you What to give the rest Choose for me, dear Santa Claus;
RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer "Rudolph with your nose so bright had a very shiny nose won't you guide my sleigh toand if you ever saw it night?" you would even say it glows. All of the other reindeer Then how the reindeer loved him used to laugh and call him names as they shouted out with glee they never let poor Rudolph (yippee) join in any reindeer games. "Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer you'll go down in history." Then one foggy Christmas eve Santa came to say,
DECK THE HALLS Deck the halls with boughs of holly Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la 'Tis the season to be jolly Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la Don we now our gay apparel Fa-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la. Troll the ancient Yule-tide carol Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.
See the blazing Yule before us. Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la Strike the harp and join the chorus. Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la Follow me in merry measure. Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la While I tell of Yule-tide treasure.

Candy Cane Day Saturday, December 15, 2012 For forty-seven years, Santa Claus has made a special trip from the North Pole on a Saturday before Christmas to visit Keizer area children and hand out candy canes. Santa has confirmed he will continue the tradition whit a visit to Keizer on Saturday, December 15th. Because Santa’s sleigh is being tuned up for his rounds on Christmas Eve, Santa will once again, be driven around the area by Keizer Fire District fire trucks. They will announce Santa’s arrival on neighborhood streets by sounding their sirens and making announcements on the fire engine PA system. This very special day is scheduled to begin at 9:00 am. Santa is scheduled to visit most streets in the Keizer Fire District by the end of the day. District officials said the only streets they will not be able to visit are short cul-de-sacs; residents on these streets are encouraged to come to the fire engine when it stops at the end of their street. The Keizer Fire District Volunteers Firefighters Association, sponsor of the event, estimates Santa will distribute about one thousand dollars worth of candy canes (over 7,700 candy canes). The money for the candy canes comes from fund raising events, such as pancake breakfasts, held by the association Contact: 503-390-9111
