Glastonbury 100 Years Anniversary The Brief Produce a limited edition range for the 100 years anniversary of Glastonbury. The packaging design shall be produced for Brother Cider, as these are the main distributors at Glastonbury. The new flavours you choose to produce should help promote Glastonbury while sharing its heritage of the festival. Keep the brand as a genuine and effective choice amongst the now rather crowded cider market. Concept/Proposition As Glastonbury hits a 100 years, its time to celebrate this. A unique range of flavours that spill out to help produce vibrant, interesting and creative celebrations to make 100 years even more memorable. Consider colour, textures, style and technology to show the heritage of Glastonbury while still being appealing to the consumers of now. Brother’s cider shares the history of Glastonbury, these two things should be hand-in-hand to celebrate the history.
Consider your target audience, festivals. Stock used for printing. Representation of colours, to flavours, to the brand. Consider market research to determine the right flavours that should be created. How are people going to be informed of this limited edition range. Text and label information displayed upon the label designs.
Background Glastonbury was heavily influenced by hippie ethics and the free festival movement in the early 1970s, beginning with the Isle of Wight Festival, which featured performances by The Who, amongst other artists. Afterwards, organiser Michael Eavis stated that he decided to host the first festival, then called Pilton Festival, after seeing an open air Led Zeppelin concert at the Bath Festival of Blues and Progressive Music 1970 at the nearby Bath and West Showground in 1970.[ The festival retains vestiges of this tradition such as the Green Fields area, encompassing the Green Futures and Healing Field. Fast forward to 1995 at the Glastonbury Festival and the four Showering brothers start selling their Pear Cider...and, well you know the rest. To-date Brothers is the leading product sold at Glastonbury. Target Audience
