about me

Draw a line. live above it. My name is Stephanie Jestus and I am a student at Dunwoody Technical College studing Interior Design. I was born and raised in Minnesota. Growing up I wanted to be many things but art always found its way back into my life. Growing up my uncle inspired me, he owned his own resort and designed all of the lodges, and flipped homes. Ever since then I’ve wanted to go into design. I’m very interested in commercial and hospitality design and this summer I was offered an internship with my uncle up in Bemidji to help him and his designer re modle their lodge and restaurant. I’ve always enjoyed school, I love being out doors, and getting to explore different parts of the world. I can’t wait for my future.

HOSPITALITY DESIGN

HAVEN HOTEL BOTIQUE HOTEL STUDIO 4

For this project we were given three city options and had to choose one of the three where we would locate our hotel. Haven Hotel is located in Brooklyn New York. It’s a hotel designed to attract business women due to the ratio of men being a lot higher than women. The concept for this project was called Placid Divergence and represents the hotel as being a bold, tainless, and spacemodic haven in an intersecting atmosphere. Programs that were used in this project included, revit, cad, photoshop, and hand renderings. Overall this was one of my favorite projects because it was the first time I combind all programs together to get one final design.

loft revit residential

The loft project was a quick revit project we did that was taken from a previous class where we only had the floor plans developed. We took those old floor plans and created three different views to further the design process. I really enjoyed this project because I didnt have a loft project so I was able to come up with a quick floor plan that would make a unique loft project.

discrete curvation cure tea & garden revit

Cure Tea & Garden came from the word Discrete Curvation which means being curved into a degree and seperate. Cure Tea & Garden is a place to unwind and to get away from yout everyday life. The overall design process was interesting between the number of decisions made and the changes that came along with the design theme. This was my first Revit assignment where we had to design everything in Revit. We were to make a space commercial and residentail but being combinded together as one.

INQUISITIVE PLEAT DEVILS ADVOCATE PUB PARTNER PROJECT STUDIO 4

Our concept for this project is Inquisitive Pleat which stands for Experience drams, With unfolding aromas, Emerged in culture. The pub is adding a location to the city of Edinburg Scotland. Summer and I were partners for this project and we wanted to create a culture filled place where people touring the area can come in and experience great whiskey from Scotland itself.
