Although Bellamy is primarily a solo artist, he does play consistently in a band known as, The Road Hammers. Whether performing solo or with his band mates, Bellamy’s performance style is filled with lots of energy, while being extremely interactive by always encouraging crowd participation, and “bombastic fun”. Bellamy’s musical style is also reflected through his fashion sense, with his rock ‘n’ roll inspired, Marlo Brando wild ones style. Already with 5-albums under his belt, and more country music set to be released soon, Bellamy composeshis own song material wherever he could find a quiet spot to write his lyrics. With his inspiration for his music being based upon personal experiences, and through everyday occurrences and encounters, songs that inspire others and uplift his audiencesis what Bellamy also strives to achieve.
Being able to speak English, some French, and un poco de español (a little Spanish), is also something that Clayton transfers over into his sound, allowing his melodies to have versatility, and appeal to an even larger audience, which also includes his French speaking grandmother. Currently a member of the MDM Recordings Inc. family, Clayton’s musical style is described as “Roots Rock Music,” which Bellamy defines as, “Real music, for real people.”Performing has been a passion of Clayton’s since he was a kid growing up on a farm in Alberta with his family, participating in both his church choir and school choir, which had helped him hone his love for music. Although Clayton attended College at R.D.Cin Reddeer Alberta for the Music diploma program, majoring in Vocal performance and music Business, his musical talents flourished by his love for composing his own music, writing his own lyrics and playing instruments like the harmonica, the piano, and especially the guitar. A firm believer in JesusChrist whom Bellamy considers to be his hero becauseof his humility, honesty, loving, and forgiving nature, Bellamy’s biggest dream would be, in words of Mahatma Ghandi, “to be the change I want to see in the world.” However, when Bellamy is not composing music, or performing on stage, he and his family volunteer their time to several charity initiatives such as the Greater Nashville Church Missions in Bogota Columbia, Compassion Canada, and the Northern Lights School Division which Bellamy is an ambassador for the music program. He exclaimed, “In March I will go to see 4000 kids in 5 days in Northern Alberta, and speak to them about following their dreams and show them that everyone can be a dreamer.” Bellamy is married with two kids, and enjoys hobbies such as snowboarding, motorcycle touring, hunting, fishing, and wake boarding.
