Welcome

Cross

WOW 2020! What can be said about the first half of this year! It’s certainly a privilege to sit down and write another welcome letter to invite each of you to join us at the 3rd Annual EXCHANGE Livestock Event. I truly mean that because I sit here knowing that so many people have questions, concerns, thoughts and ideas about the directions our society is in today due to the COVID-19. That’s a fact! It’s certainly been the elephant in a lot of rooms! I know that me or no one else have all the answers of the next action or even control. However, here’s what I do know. All of us who are a part of the livestock show industry or you could honestly say, involved in agriculture are ADAPTABLE and RELENTLESS. I feel our community is going to be just fine as we look forward and I’m very excited to see what the future will bring us. Take a moment and just look at all the positive things that have happened or what you’ve recently learned. With that said, that’s the same approach and mindset we’ve taking with this years Exchange Livestock Event. It’s never been a discussion of not doing something, it’s been more of a focus to figure out the solution as to how we were going to strengthen the industry and follow up from past year’s success. Last year was an absolute blast! All of you that attended, watched online or participated as a breeder or a buyer, I say Thank You! So, everyone always wants to know and ask, “what are you going to do next time”? Well, I hope as you read through the pages of the catalog you’ll once again be intrigued by the uniqueness, the quality of offering and PROVEN genetics from some of the very best livestock people in the business. Oh yeah, I admit we did reach out and do something a little different. The Exchange Livestock Event will feature consignments that represent all four species; Swine, Sheep, Goats and Cattle. Obviously, there’ll be a few surprises scattered in that I’m sure doesn’t surprise anyone. “It’s gonna be FUN for sure”! The focus and concepts for the event has NOT changed, but the picture has only gotten bigger. We’re going to offer genetic opportunities, industry innovations and do so with some of the best PEOPLE in the livestock industry. As far as the sale details for this year’s event and leading up to the moment that Emcee Dr. Mark Hoge grabs the microphone to introduce the lots, we ask you to join us for the PRE-GAME SHOW. New this year I’ve planned a studio setting which will allow for live interviews with the consignors, industry leaders and of course our sponsors. Speaking of sponsors, a HUGE shout out goes to our friends at Trans Ova for their continued support of the Exchange and will once again be the Title Sponsor. As far as taking in the events throughout the day you’ll see the Pre-Game show brought to you on Walton Webcasting starting at noon on Thursday, June 11th. Several social media platforms plan to pick up the action including SCOnline that I currently know of. The Exchange will go live on CCI.LIVE at 6:00 p.m. sharp for everyone to watch LiveOnline with Mr. Kevin Wendt as the auctioneer. Be sure to read through the details, “ALL BIDDING WILL BE DONE AT CCI.LIVE”! Finally, I’ve gotta take a moment to say “THANK YOU” to many. I’ve been very fortunate to work with the best people in the business to bring the Exchange to a reality not just once, but twice and now a 3RD TIME. A huge Shout Out and Thank You goes to some of my very best friends! We hear all the time that this is a people business, I can confidently say, “Yes it’s the people that make things like this happen”. I’ve been blessed in my life to meet and work with many good people in this business and I’d like to take this opportunity to make a few introductions. The EXCHANGE partnership with Trans Ova has been second to none and time working with Diane Broek has not only been one of the most educational, but also the most professional I’ve ever experienced. Obviously, the EXCHANGE would never be possible without my great friends and industry leaders Mr. Jesse Heimer and Mr. Nick Berry. These guys have guided a pathway with true vision, experience and professionalism to help advance the industry. The EXCHANGE Sales staff is loaded with industry excellence, clerk and live bidding platform with CCI.LIVE, Auctioneer Mr. Kevin Wendt and Emcee Dr. Mark Hoge. This is an awesome staff! Finally, I always say I have the greatest personal support staff anyone could ever ask for, MY FAMILY! The support, guidance and push I receive from my family to do what I do is what has made me. “I’m truly blessed to have been raised to be a part of an agriculture community and the livestock industry has allowed me to do what I do with PEOPLE like you”! ONE MORE addition to the staff and a HUGE supporter is my fiancé Caitlin, welcome to the TEAM… With that, take this as a personal invitation to join us for another Kennedy Ventures experience like nothing ever before. We’ve assembled the best representing multiple species from breeders everywhere. It’s time to do business on Thursday, June 11th. Respectfully,

WITH A ROCK STAR MOMMA

SHATTERED X OFF THE LEDGE X SPEAK NOW BRED TO WALK THE LINE DUE 8/7

CURRENTLY HOUSED AT HEIMER HAMPSHIRES

I’m not sure how to identify this particular Berkshire bred gilt. She could be referred to as one of the best gilts Causemaker had raised out of one of the breeds most successful females. She could be referred to as a half sister to that powerful Barrow that was Champion Berkshire at Illinois and named Res. Grand a day later , along with the Champion Berkshire Gilt at Tulsa. She could be referred to as the littermate sister to a very powerful 2020 San Antonio Champion Berkshire Barrow the Martin Family exhibited. She could also be referred to herself as a selection to represent the Berkshire breed at the PT’19 “Purette”...Regardless, this powerhouse of a sow prospect combines so many things that can be a huge addition to any herd or set up a breeder to be in the top of the Berkshire breed immediately. This opportunity doesn’t occur very often with this type of resume to acquire a future foundation female as a gilt. With what her mother has done in just (3) litters, I’d expect “Kandy Kane” to re-write the same story if not more…. As an added bonus, she comes mated to the popular HH herdsire “WALK THE LINE” that now stands at Premium Blend Genetics. That boar will soon become a headliner in that impressive set of Berkshire boars. Get in if you want to be an instant player at the highest level!

SELFISH AMBITION X SCREENSHOT X SI

The Ammann Firm is offering the Chester Breed something that many have not had the opportunity to tap into. Boar Studs and Breeders look in! Selling choice on either (A) or (B), with the backup bidder having the option to take the other at same money. UNLESS, the high bidder wants to Double Down for BOTH! These boars are both sired by Selfish Ambition, the semen we purchased in the 2019 Exchange Sale. For those that follow the Chester breed understand the limited semen sold on this boar to date. We have been extremely pleased with our two litters that include this pair of boars. Both are extremely good and have some differences, but bring so many unique positive characteristics to the table! We can’t wait to see what they’ll do in the future as we feel they will be the next pieces to move the breed in a forward direction! The Ammann firm has requested to retain (20) fresh doses and (20) straws of frozen semen from both boars. 5-3’s mother is an Out of the Box X Screenshot X Si. She is a littermate to Out Front and was Reserve Chester gilt at the San Antonio Open Show in 2019. 9-6’s mother is the Screenshot X Si sow. She is the mother of Open Fire, Take Aim, Conductor and Out Front. She has been an absolute generator of a sow. In her show career she was Reserve Grand at the 2017 Team Purebred Summer National and Champion at The Indiana State Fair Junior Show!

Terms : Ammann Showpigs want to retain semen interest to use whenever needed for both boars. And keep name on the pedigree of both boars. AMMANN SHOWPIGS

a great boar indeed;

one like this he doesn’t offer!

Selling outright, seller retains breeding rights (max 2 doses a week) It’s no secret, the Chester industry hasn’t had the opportunity to tap into the proven and successful genetics that the Yantis firm has been building in recent years. Brandon has built a successful program that many will only dream of doing. He’s not the easiest to get along with when it comes to trying to buy his better females and tapping into a boar is nearly unheard of. Yet, now is the time to gather up one like the industry has not seen before. Regardless if we’re talking about the pedigree for generations or studying the actual build, balance and power in this individual the conversation can go on and on. Simply put, if you’re a breeder, a group of breeders or a boar stud serious about the Chester breed I’d hope you make plans to go check out this deal before the EXCHANGE on June 11th. • • • • •

44-8 UNO X DEAD END Pillowtalk’s littermate sister is the longest staple on the place and she is still here because she is still as relevant today as ever! She has done it all! In the showring, her progeny have won at all levels including – Champion Chester Barrow National Western ’19, Champion Chester and Reserve Grand Purebred Gilt Texas Elite Showcase ’19, 5th Overall Chester Gilt and Chester Barrow at World Pork Expo ’18, 4th Overall Chester Gilt Team Purebred Junior Nationals ’18, 5th Overall Chester Barrow Indiana State Fair ’17, 3rd Overall Chester Barrow National Western ’17, Reserve Chester San Angelo Texas Stars Gilt Show ’17, and many premium sale barrows at Texas majors. Don’t forget, she’s also the mother of Overruled at DL Showpigs and Jackhammer that stood at Premium Blend. Her potent genetics are currently found in 9 of the 16 Chester sow’s pedigrees at Beyers Farms, TX.

A NEW TWIST TO ADDING PROVEN GENETICS TO AN EXISTING HERD OR STAR UP... A unique opportunity that has never been offered by Beyers Farms, TX. It’s a combination of “old proven sows” and “new exciting foundation females” for the buyer of the lot to choose. Breed any ONE of the FIVE sows below to the boar of your choice for the purchase of the ENTIRE LITTER. These five sows represent the current genetic foundation of our Chester program and offer the new owner of the purchased litter a chance to build their genetic base or start a Chester breeding program from elite proven genetics. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to immediately impact your herd for future generations!

41-4 PILLOWTALK X BONECRUSHER Known here as “Little Lady” or “The Frontline Sow”, this female has had as much show ring success as any sow ever here at Beyers Farms, TX. In her first litter, five of the six males placed third or higher between Houston and Austin, including the Champion and Reserve Champion Barrows at Austin in ’17. She also produced the Champion Chester Barrow at San Angelo ’18, Reserve Bred and Owned Chester gilt at WPX ’18, Reserve Chester Barrow at the Illinois State Fair ’18, 3rd Overall Chester Barrow at The Exposition ’19, and several other premium sale barrows and gilts at Texas majors. EIN X ROAD RAGE First Take’s littermate sister has been a major contributor to the genetics at Beyers Farms, TX. She is the last direct daughter of our foundation sow ‘MJ’ and is currently responsible for genetics in 8 of the 16 Chester Sows in the herd with as many direct daughters as any sow in production. She’s most famously known as the mother of Selfish Ambition and littermate sister that was Reserve Chester and Fourth Overall at the Southwest Regional Team Purebred Show in ’19. She has also produced the Reserve Chester Barrow at the Illinois State Fair ’19, and many premium sale barrows at Texas majors. She may not have won as many banners as some sows housed in Abernathy, but she’s a true generator if you plan to expand your Chester herd.

5-3 OVERRULED X EIN Stella is a young, up-and-coming sow here at the farm in Abernathy! This is one of 12-8’s direct daughters that has us excited. She was the Reserve Chester gilt at the State Fair of Texas in 2018. We held her over, and she had her first litter last summer yielding the Reserve Chester Gilt at San Antonio ’20 and two premium sale barrows at San Antonio and The Alternative. She just farrowed a January litter out of Selfish Ambition that looks to be extremely promising with a STUD of a boar pig on feed and barrows and gilts in some of the better homes across the country.

39-8 HIT THE ROAD JACK X FIRST TAKE Known to us as Lucy, but the rest of the country as the infamous Guyer Gilt from last summer that was Reserve Grand at The Exposition and Grand Overall at the Team Purebred Junior Nationals and went on to be the World Record selling Chester Gilt at $15k. She has farrowed her first litter out of Custom Made, and they should start their show careers soon. This litter looks like it could be incredibly fun! Enough said. Buyer of Lot 5 secures the opportunity to purchase a secured pregnancy of one chosen sow that currently resides at Beyers Farms, TX. The purchaser will have the opportunity to select one sow from the five listed to breed to a boar of their choice. After successful conception and farrowing/weaning, the buyer is responsible for picking up the entire litter. Sow ownership is not being exchanged. The buyer of this lot will be listed as the owner of all litter progeny but not as breeder of the litter. Beyers Farms, TX will purchase the semen and pay associated shipping fee of the boar of the buyer’s choice. Beyers Farms, TX will farrow, process, and vaccinate litter based on farm protocol and assume those costs in the sale of the purchased lot. All offered sows are all currently pregnant and carrying litters. At their regular weaning interval, the purchased mating of the desired sow can be bred either on her first heat cycle or the two following heat cycles (Approximate farrow dates would be Dec-1, 2020 through Feb-1, 2021).

76-10 comes from the back bone of our Duroc program at Lettow Showpigs. This female’s pedigree is Jimmy T x He’s the One x Slats, and she is a littermate to the extremely popular “76” boar that we collected at home all Spring season. “76” recently sold to Crossroads Genetics, and saw heavy use on several elite Duroc females across a number of herds during the most recent breeding season. He will continue to make an impact for Crossroads Genetics customers moving forward. 76-10’s pedigree is unique as she shares the same grand dam, “Patti”, as Bomb Squad. The 76 litter hogs were our deepest, and highest quality litter of pigs last Summer. The females in this pedigree have consistently generated champions and impactful herd boars. 76-10 is bred to Bomb Squad, and this line-bred mating is sure to be a home run. This mating combines presence, athleticism, muscle shape and density. Our exchange entry from one year ago offered breeding hogs with similar pedigrees and turned into a successful and valuable investment for Rhett Sites in Oklahoma.

only chance

MAXIMUS X HE’S THE ONE

FOR STARTERS, I WILL SAY THIS MAY VERY WELL BE THE “ONLY CHANCE” OR POSSIBLY THE LAST CHANCE FOR SOMEONE TO PURCHASE A DUROC BOAR FROM THE OLSON FAMILY. -Blane Olson

The Olson Family is excited to offer one of the first sons of the great Maximus boar from Top Cut Genetics that was named the Champion Boar at the 2019 Exposition! Not only does he come from an incredibly deep litter that has already grossed over $20k as babies this spring, but his sire, Maximus, has been on a tear early on in the new Virtual Show season and looks to be one the Duroc breed lost way too soon. This incredible Duroc Boars mother is sired by the industry great, He’s The One. She had a good run as a show gilt herself as she successfully exhibited throughout the midwest in the summer of 2018.However, her greatest value is when she lays in the crate and plays the role of momma. When you look into the extended pedigree of what we feel could be the next breed changer, you find this guys grand dam that was the 2016 NJSS Res. Champion Duroc Gilt, a littermate to High Alert and Eye of the Storm. Plus you can add in the great grand dam is the legendary King sow that can be found all over our PROGRAM!. Don’t miss an opportunity to be in on this unique investment opportunity! The terms of the offering: The Olson Family will be offering 60% ownership for the use of or as an investment opportunity! The high bidder will be buying 60% of all dollars generated through the lifetime of semen sales from this boar. Olson Farms will retain possession and the boar will be housed at Knauth Olson Boar Stud. The new owner will NOT be responsible for any expenses after the initial purchase has been made. Olson Farms plan to insure the boar for their % of ownership and encourage the new owner to do the same if wished. In the event the new owner is a breeder and would want to use semen for the boar, you’ll be charged 40%.per dose to K+O Boar Stud. Olson Farms retains NO Semen rights and will be required to pay full price for any/all semen utilized on the farm. This is definitely an INVESTOR or BREEDER OPPORTUNITY that’s not been offered at public auction before in our industry. The purchaser has the opportunity to double down and own 100% of the boar with absolutely no restrictions to or on behalf of Olson Farms.

BRED TO WAR PATH DUE 7/31 It’s hard to think about letting 44-3 (Marvel’s MOM) ever leave the farm, but we have 3 littermate sisters. She’s now carrying her third litter and bred to Warpath. He’s the Hamp boar we raised and sold to PBG. Although he’s a purebred, he was shown in the 2019 Crossbred Classic at Indiana State Fair where he topped the sale at $10,800. Although belted during his growing life he shed some hair during the summer. We have heard very good reports on the pigs and the belts for his offspring. In 44-3’s first litter she has already produced the Champion Hamp Boar at the 2020 SWTC in Belton which sold to Premium Blend Genetics for $28,000 (Marvel). To quote Premium Blend Genetics, they described him as being: “Absolutely massive in his bone work with huge even toes, clean joints and ideal pastern set. Awesome in his rib-shape, deep in his flank and blown way open coming at you. Stout-skulled yet with a tremendous look, extension and presence from the profile. MARVEL has us as excited about breeding Hampshires as we have been in a very long time and we are confident he has a legit shot to make some very positive steps forward in the Hampshire breed.” PBG 3 of 44-3’s daughters and littermate sisters to Marvel have been retained. To familiarize you a little more with Warpath, his mother has produced Desperado (Purple Power) 2018 Indiana State Fair Class Winner, Cage Fighter (sold to Mike Watson and Jerry McLemore) Fall Classic Class Winner in 2018 and Warpath’s littermate was also shown in the Crossbred Classic and sold to Triple B sires. They named him Heartbeat.

46-3 GRAND ENTRANCE X THE MASTER BRED TO MARVEL • DUE 7/20

The other impressive young female being offered from the heart of the Martin herd is 46-3. 46-3 is sired by Grand Entrance (Champion Hamp Boar at 2018 Indiana State Fair sold for $102,000 Hi-Point). The dam of 46-3 is our “The Master” sow that produced Desperado, Cage Fighter, Warpath and Heartbeat. In my opinion, you can’t find two sows in a pedigree that have done more than The Master (DCM5 TM KALEEN TP 52-8) sow and Bobby Meeker’s 18-3 (RMF6 GRAPE) who raised Grand Entrance and High Expectations. We chose to breed 46-3 to Marvel because of all the different great sow families that go into this mating. MARVEL

Getting in the Poland business with this lot! This lot was not easy to offer. We have always studied different breeders in many breeds that have success and try and understand what makes them stand out. Within this lot you will see a lot of pedigrees from successful firms that stand out and do it frequently!! Our Polands have been extremely rewarding. They have made us proud, have led us to some great families that have shown them that are now friends of our family and have been financial machines. This breed is postured for progress and I truly believe it is sustainable progress. We are offering 6 lots that I know would contribute to an existing successful firm, be a great way to jump in head first and be instantly relevant in the breed or diversify a successful firm with another breed. Believe me the multi breed program can be challenging but extremely rewarding and can create loyalty from customers like you wouldn’t imagine if you make progress. We will be growing and focusing on a few other breeds that my kids are partial to at our place and with that commitment will be freeing up our limited sow space by offering this package. This is the heart of where we are with our Polands and now it can be yours. You are buying this lot as our stepping away from Poland’s to pursue other interests of my family’s and I have sincere confidence in an immediate return with this group.

CASINO

BRED TO ALL IN DUE 7/12 This bred gilt is sired by Casino and honestly has been fun from weaning to now! She has always looked amazing. She brought $9000 as a baby sold in our Live Sale at Bobell Farms and went on to be 3rd Overall Poland at the 2019 WPX for the Werning Family. She was a January that was still immature as a show gilt. We felt fortunate that the Werning Family worked with us to bring her back to Kewanee as a headliner!

17-3

ALL IN X JOB SECURITY Another one we kept back to keep progression rolling. She is negative and is out of the 14-3 Lot we are offering who was Champion at the Illinois State Fair. Her design and skeleton is next step stuff for us. Proportions with this look, irregardless of breed will move the needle!!

This Black Mamba is out of the same mother of the Werning gilt ( 10-3 offered in this lot) that was 3rd Overall at The Exposition last year . She is will be finishing her show career and then be available to the new owner that purchase this lot. She was born early Dec and she is a carrier. She has great bone and feet and dimension and yet her angles and flex is killer. She was one we wanted to bring back to keep density and power in our Polands. She had a littermate gilt bring $7250 in the First Chance Pig Sale that looks very good and has a littermate barrow that has been winning several virtual And live outings that is a killer and has a bright future. RIGHT KIND X RAISE THE BAR BRED TO UNBELIEVEABLE • DUE 7/1

The Armstrong name is a staple in the swine industry for producing high quality breeding stock and Champion showpigs for many across the United States. Likewise, they are also known to be the kind of herd to hold on to some of the very best they put together to continue that successful tradition. Well, here’s a chance at one of those hard to get kinda deals! Here is a great sow that is right in her prime. She raised the Reserve Champion Spot Barrow at the 2019 Houston Livestock Show. She is also backed by a great Raise the Bar sow which that line needs no interdiction to what has been accomplished at Armstrongs and the rest of the spotted breed. Another plus to this deal is she has zero Loudmouth in the pedigree which offers great flexibility moving forward with those who are intrigued with making breeding decisions for future generations of the breed. We’ve been fortunate to be a part of the EXCHANGE in years past, as well as several events of KV, yet this very well may be the most intriguing lot we’ve offered.

This boar battery of (3) boars are being packaged to allow the new owner to open up a fresh new genetic line-up to the spot breed. The pedigrees, along with phenotype are intense in terms of making hogs different then the so called norm. If you are looking to lay in a set of boars with mass, structure, density and bred to look different than most, get the boar pens cleaned and ready for these “MEAT MAKERS”. Breed changing opportunity!

LOST AND FOUND X JUNGLE JUICE A book could be written of the list of females that have impacted our herd out of this guy so far. This boar has brought incredible feet and legs and a comfortable rear pastern and big toe spread to our farm. This is the kind that stays around forever because he can be used on such a wide variety of spotted sows.

lost and found SHUT YOUR MOUTH X TATER

Boy we’re glad this guy was found when they lost him in a corn field when he was younger. This hog spent 10 days in a field before they found him!! What he did for us in 1 generation is more than any spot boar we have ever had around. We sold barrows out of this guy to some of the most elite feeders in the nation resulting in numerous winners. We’re not good at advertising the amount of winners Lost and Found has generated, but it’s been enough for us to know he needs to breed more sows.

hollywood blvd son HOLLYWOOD BLVD X LOST AND FOUND Not sure what to say about this creature. An absolute outlier for the obvious reason that we have used his daddy across our sows and this guy offers the same lineage. The stoutest and squarest of all the spot boars we’ve worked with at this age. Unreal bone mass, yet flexible and clean jointed. I promise it won’t take maturity to add bone with as stout as he is today as a young boar. This guy has a totally different build that we have ever made or seen at this age. This one is in another league…. Terms: Behrmann Hog Farm is selling ownership and possession of the entire boar battery. The request is to maintain the owner name on the pedigree, as well as keep rights to use all (3) boars during the year for the (15) sows in the herd.

Renaissance very unique opportunity here! RENAISSANCE HOGE 11-11 X WOW 133-7

Saw this boar for the first time in June of 2018 on a trip to Lake City to select sows purchased in the first ever Exchange. Fast forward to the summer of 2019 and Renaissance was THE boar we wanted to use on the Fecke Yorkshire sowherd. Moving him from Lake City, AR to Taylor, MO didn’t come easy or cheap, but he has far exceeded our expectations. He has been used extensively - and exclusively - by our two firms and it’s time the rest of the industry has access. His health is good, his fertility is tremendous and we’re confident he will make Yorkshires better! We have positioned this  offering to grant access to breeders for the next to months - unless of course, someone is ready to take full control right now! It’s worth noting that his pedigree is still an outcross to virtually ALL of the popular and widely-used lines within the Yorkshire breed today.

BIG STEP X STOKED

Pick of the 20 Litter April Gilts When Todd & Blake asked about our April gilts we quickly knew what litter we thought was not only phenotypically good but also genetically. Big Step is housed at Upperhand and by the looks of his first crop is going to become very popular. The mommy of the 20’s is the Dyer gilt that was Reserve Champion Yorkshire Gilt at the 2019 OYE. The buyer of this lot has the opportunity to be the very first person in the barn, to hand pick your very favorite gilt in this litter. We think this litter is very elite therefore will be retaining ownership in the rest of the gilts in it. If you like geek necks, barrel ribs, fat hind legs, and sound flexible females they fit the bill. Last fall our April set produced the Grand Champion Barrow at the Eastern Regional, Grand Champion Gilt Overall at the Phoenix Hog Show, Champion Yorkshire Gilt at the American Royal, Champion Yorkshire Barrow at the American Royal, and 4th Overall Market Hog at the NAILE! We feel this set of Aprils has the same potential as last years set!

We are offering 100% ownership and possession of the boar. Sanders Showpigs retains breeding interest in him - specifics to be discussed before or after the sale.

The mommy of this boar won 11 times in Oklahoma and is a littermate to the Meek gilt that was Grand Champion Gilt at the Ft Worth Stock Show and Reserve Grand Champion Gilt at the San Anton Stock Show in 2019! To make things better his daddy, Hollywood is the $140,000 Champion and high selling boar last summer at The Exposition. 47-1 has been a stand out and barn favorite by many his whole life and we are very excited to be able to offer him in The Exchange!

NEVER BEFORE X LOCK IT UP X COLT 45

A-List Showpigs is excited to introduce 81-8 or THRILLER as he’s referred to at the farm. This boar comes from a great litter of 9 really good pigs. The 81 litter is extremely deep, with multiple class winners on the virtual show circuit already. Sired by the popular “Never Before” phenom that stands at Premium Blend Genetics. His mother is the Knauth Sow, which makes her a ( Lock It Up X Colt 45)! She won her class at the 2018 Jr. Show at the Illinois State Fair and then produced a daughter in her first litter that won her class at the 2019 Illinois State Fair Jr. Show. We’re very proud to own this sow and not much needs to be said about the success of the Knauth program. 81-8 CHECKS THESE BOXES: • Stout skulled and wide eyed! • Small, attractive erect ears with excellent clean looking face and jaw. • Length of neck that ties into a high head carriage that everyone wants. • He’s got that cocky attitude and knows he’s good! • Wide and square about his shoulder from the top of his blade and down into a round deep rib cage and has true base width. • He has explosive muscle definition, muscle length and depth to his hip and ham, along with a full rib cage. • Nearly perfect ham loin junction that progresses into a full square hip • Enormous tail root, with width from the top of his ham to the base of his stifle. • Ideal pastern set with Big even toes. and good toe spread. • Extremely fluid in his movement and sound structured. • Extremely big forearm and flat huge boned • Combines power and pretty with a sound structured package.

A-LIST SHOW PIGS

To enhance his value: This whole litter was outstanding and extremely marketable pigs at 40-60 lbs. and have continued on feed to be very competitive in the ring. THRILLER IS THE KIND THAT’LL MAKE A BREEDER OR A BOAR STUD MONEY!

cruel sisters

It was after much deliberation Carrie and I chose our first lot to be a part of this event, and it was a tough decision to offer something we just really don’t want to let go of to be simple. CRUEL’S FULL SISTERS are not something I ever planned to part with, but here is your opportunity to select YOUR preference of all 4 of them. This litter, on top of being a repeat mating to Cruel, yielded the Reserve Grand Gilt at Ft Worth (49-11) and the 3rd Overall Gilt at The Exposition, who we untimely lost this spring, however since there are 4, we decided to still proceed with this opportunity to give one person a chance to own a full sister to Cruel. Perhaps what makes the decision even tougher is their service sires. 49-8 and 49-9 both are bred to Next Intention, who was just recently purchased by Premium Blend at the end of this spring breeding season. “Next” is one of my favorite animals to be created here and is currently bred to about 60 sows for this upcoming crop. What adds even more intrigue is 49-6 and 49-11 are both bred to “Believe In Me”, one of the popular Skull & Bones sons out of Cruel’s mother herself and another important leg of the 3-part purchase of Premium Blend’s this spring and his work at our farm is just beginning as well. In this particular case, any of the 4 of these allow the purchaser a unique opportunity to own a young sow with much influence behind her, of our herd, and uniquely a litter that obtains a double shot of Cruel’s mother immediately. Thanks to Todd, Blake, and crew for the unique opportunity with this invitation.

SECRET WEAPON X NEXT MAN UP

Offering 100% ownership and possession! His mother was named the 2019 Grand Champion Market Hog at LSU Livestock Show during her show career before becoming a sow. Although that’s a huge staple win, her record as a mother is just beginning to look impressive. This treasure of a female for the Fontenot Family has produced this guy in only her second litter. Her 1st litter produced the $17,000 (JO JO) Never Before boar purchased by Heimer Hampshires at Perfect Timing. Another littermate sold that day to Kolby Griffin at PT that went to OYE with high hopes after ONLY seeing the show ring one time where he was named a dominating Grand Champion at Garvin County. I may add it certainly doesn’t hurt the predictability of things since she’s sired by the great Wintex boar “Next Man Up” and out of the Wake Up sow that’s in the pedigree of all the Fontenot Champions the last few years. Sired by the very popular “Secret Weapon” boar that stands at Top Cut Genetics. This young sire has already had several sons and daughters make a splash in the ring, including the Grand Champion Crossbred Gilt at the 2020 San Antonio Stock Show. Secret Weapon himself comes from a powerhouse litter which includes the 2018 Tulsa State Fair Grand Champion Barrow shown by the Cantrell Family. To add to the resume on that litter bred by C&C Showpigs, Secret Weapon is sire by Dirty Secret and out of their prolific Pinnacle x Black Onyx x No Fare sow.

BLURRED VISION X RINGLEADER BRED TO NEVER BEFORE DUE 8/9

The sow that officially brought us back into business. She’s known around here as the Blurred sow. Litter after litter she continues to impress us with the depth and consistency that each of her litters possess. This powerful daughter of the very popular female siring machine Blurred Vision has done it all for us. Early on in her career she began to write her own story in only her second litter when bred to Wedding Night she raised the Reserve Grand and 5th Overall gilts at the 2018 Oklahoma Youth Expo. She wasn’t done there, in the next litter she cranked out the popular Hofschulte boar, “Night Vision”. She’s also raised the Grand Overall Gilt at the Arkansas State Fair. We felt it was crucial to repeat the first successful mating and bred her back to Wedding Night and she did it again by producing a very good sale making gilt at OYE and maybe her best yet, the boar East Side who’s housed at Hofschulte Genetics. In her past three litters there’s not been a direct daughter offered because we have felt the need to build around this sow. We now have numerous daughters, granddaughters, and even great granddaughters to add into our sow herd. We feel that she isn’t done yet and for a 5 year old sow she is still very fun to look at in the sow lot! Our hopes are that the BLURRED sow can go on and continue to make the next generation better at her new home like she’s done down in Soper!

be aggressive, b-e aggressive! The Lackey Livestock herd name needs no scripted introduction when it comes to the showpig arena. We all know what that family has accomplished as far as raising winning showpigs, multiple stud boars, plus the countless females that win major shows and still yet make momma’s. This offering is something like never seen before at a public auction and it’s all up to you to determine the outcome…. Buy 1, 2, 3 or all 4! You’ll save money and strengthen the depth of your herd the more you take. (Example in graph)

uno, dos, tres, cuatro! Example: High bid $10,000 # Purchased %ea. Price: 1 100 $10000 2 100 $10000 3 90 $ 9000 4 85 $ 8500

Total Paid: $10000 $20000 $27000 $34000

Much like 42-11, the Deuces influence in our sow herd has been remarkable. The skeleton and range of motion in their progeny are truly second to none. The mother of 40-1 is also a mate to Jackson’s York barrow at Tusla in 2017. This sow made a barrow that Tyleigh Price showed at Fort Worth in 2019 that ended up Reserve Heavy Crossbred. This time, she had a very neat litter of pigs with many gilts that we have retained. McCoy bought one of those in our Farm Sale in August of 2019 and is currently housed in Ohio. Another barrow in that litter was a very neat one that was 3rd behind the Grand and Reserve Grand in Denver; quite the class! There aren’t many firms where 40-1 could stand and not be asked about because of her build and skeleton. She’s a generator, and one that has and will continue to leave a lasting impact.

BKS’s Sister! We’ve been very fortunate over the past couple of years to put boars in a few spots that have been well received and have assisted breeders in making pigs that they like and continue to put faith in. Best Kept Secret was an incredibly neat baby pig out of “Sugar”, Ella Bobell’s gilt from a few years back that will always hold a special place for a number of reasons. BKS has an amazing run this Spring for Moyer and us and other breeders, but unfortunately, wasn’t able to fulfill his responsibilities this breeding season. But, the good news is that he’s active and eating feed and hopefully will be able to breed sows again soon. 49-2 had a very high-selling litter of Octagon’s last Summer and one of those was Cole Phillips’ barrow that was Grand at our Training Day event, but he ended up being a little too big for any of our target shows in Texas. “Why are you selling her” Because I promised myself that I would put the 5 sows in this offering that I would buy if I were on the outside looking in.

Little did I know, she would be the springboard for not only a fun run in the Duroc breed, but actually a stimulation for a KING OF OUTLAWS desire to raise and pay attention to this breed. Her first litter made the BRED TO DEAL WITH IT Reserve Duroc Barrow at Houston in 2018 that the Berry family exhib- DUE 7/18 ited. Her next fall litter was next level and produced Jenna’s 2019 San Antonio Reserve Duroc Barrow, as well as Weston’s Reserve Duroc Gilt at the Texas Elite show that year as well. I’m not going to pretend to be an expert on these or have done anything transformative here, but it is easy to realize that she’s a true generator and has the ability to make the next ONE! For those of you who concentrate on this breed we feel this one has real value.

11-1

42-11 DEUCES X SUGAR DADDY X RATED R BRED TO THE KING DUE 7/19

Her prolificacy is no accident. Easily one of the most impressive animals on our farm. Deuces has been incredibly good to us with the daughters he left and the impeccable skeleton he put in our hogs. Her progeny are always timeless and immature in their build. She’s most famously known as “Makavelli’s” (Laird’s $150,000 Perfect Timing purchase) mom, but she’s a cornerstone at our farm and one that doesn’t come around very often.

to the public!

14-9 HUSH MONEY X NIGHT VISION X BLURRED VISION It was not an easy discussion to get the Hofschulte crew all on the same page to let this one leave the farm. Rightfully so when you consider all the success that this firm has continued to accomplish. Great breeder mindset with an understanding of what it takes to be competitive in the show ring. Here’s your chance to tap into one of the really good young prospects that’ll be offered this summer…. We would like to thank Todd and Blake for inviting us to this prestige event and to be alongside the best in the business. We are plumb pumped up about 14-9! The maternal grand dam here is the (HAMMOCK SOW ENTRY) Blurred Vision sow that came from Cooper/Flash, which produced that Reserve Grand and 5th Overall gilts @ OYE ‘18, she also produced our herd boar East Side. The Blurred Vision sow’s daughters have been making a tremendous impact here, and we have been retaining all that we can from that sow family. 14-9 comes from an extremely deep litter that grossed $20,000 in our March sale. This one looks like a boar should, his feature is tremendous with excellent reach and go off of both ends. Way stout at the ground, bold bodied with a square build. We love the way he looks, but love even more the females that back him. TERMS: The Hofschulte Crew will guarantee that 14-9 to produce good, high quality semen for the new owner. Selling 100% ownership and possession of 14-9 to the high bidder. Seller retains 20 doses a year.

”wrestle mania“ There’s been several at Eagle Grove,

MAYBE THE BEST ONE YET!

25-1 KARMA X ROCKSTAR X WEDDING NIGHT’S SISTER Everyone knows the value of the boar factory that resides in Eagle Grove, Iowa for Morgan Genetics. Kurt has continuously cranked out herdsires over the past few years and it appears he’s done it again. The word from those who’ve been there say, the 25-1 KARMA sired son is in another league. He’s sired by “KARMA”, which is the (Dirty Secret x Best Man x 9 to 5 (Wedding Nights littermate sister). Karma has done a fantastic job siring already in his young life and can definitely add to his resume with 25-1. Also what makes this guy so special is the pedigree of his mother. She’s a direct daughter of the popular “ROCK STAR”, which has created a legacy of his own for siring champions and sows. If that’s not enough the grand dam on the mother side is Wedding Night’s littermate sister again. Therefore he has Wedding Night’s littermate sister and Wedding Night’s mother on both sides of his pedigree. Obviously, this is a very intensely bred pedigree filled with many show ring winning genetics. A true breeding boar with a unique look of balance, build, density and mass to the highest level. The pedigree of 25-1 needs nothing else said, neither does the design and power of this creature. I encourage those of you serious to make a trip to Eagle Grove or get a video of this one before June 11th.

the colusa boys of summer SELLING BOTH BOARS, CHOICE A OR B, DOUBLE FOR BOTH

Terms: Ottenwalter Showpigs will be selling full ownership and possession of both boars with the highest bidder having the option of either boar or to Double Down for both. The Ottenwalter crew would like to reserve the right for (2) Full collections of Frozen semen each year of the boars life.

BREAKING RULES X VISIONARY

Lot (A) is 190-1 is an incredible boar out of an incredible litter. His littermate show pigs have been dominant on the virtual show scene this year for Hadley Hendrickson and Addy Huiskens, and as I write this our very favorite show barrow on feed in Colusa is also a 190 headed to the Colusa County Fair for Lexi’s senior year!. The 190’s topped our January sale, totaling over $12,000 on four hd, with the best gilt and male being retained. This boar is a man! He offers monster legs, a monster back and pinset, and he brings all that power with such a picturesque pattern and design from the side. His pastern set is immaculate and his mobility off both ends is textbook. Genetically, he’s bred to be a powerhouse and we expect nothing less than prepotency and a relentlessly consistent siring ability. He incorporates 5 shots of the great 3-6 Heimer sow (Swagger x Black Attack 53-11) sow into his pedigree (those parents marked in yellow on his extended pedigree), and that proven sow line has built some of the best crossbred sow herds into the country -- we’ve been cultivating it since we bought the 3-6 sow from Heimer. It’s been a perfect compliment to our current sow lines, and a great way to stack Black Attack into our pedigrees, which benefits us all immensely down the road. 190-1’s dam, 254-2, she’s quickly becoming one of our most elite females hitting big every trip through the crate, it appears her March litter is no different with more boar prospects in the possible future.

29b

239-3

DIRTY SOUTH X WEDDING NIGHT Lot (B) Dirty South was used hard in Colusa for October/November litters with the intentions of retaining daughters and raising a herd boar or two in the process. We started many boar prospects and it didn’t take long for 239-3 to establish himself as the elite one that we needed to focus on. His Wedding Night 24-2 dam is a littermate to Up Down’s mom and that sow line has contributed immensely to our success these past several years. His pedigree on the dam’s side would read: Wedding Night 24-2 x American Bad Boy 144-7 x Monster Square 46-1 x Warfare 73-6. Grand dam 144-7 was the $12,000 Sweethearts gilt we sold to Guyer in 2016 then bought back. She’s hit big with every litter producing elite individuals that have sold well and won, and we have many daughters that are getting it done. 239-3’s 46-1 great grand dam is a legend in her own right -- she’s raised the Grand Champion Barrow at the 2017 Indiana State Fair and the Grand Champion Commercial Gilt at OYE 2018, and she is the dam of Jack Daniels -- who recently sired our Grand Champion Barrow at the 2019 Arizona Nationals. On the very bottom lies 73-6 -- the dam of Scared Straight (and clone Straight Survivor), Tombstone, and No No. Phenotypically, 239-3 is as complete and balanced as you’d want a herd boar to be. He’s got an enormous, square chest and plants square and wide behind with great range of motion. Like most Dirty Souths, he’s more moderate in terms of frame and he’s been easy to manage from a feeding standpoint. In our experience, this combination of squareness of build and look with his frame size and mobility is what generates winning show barrows.

Space Cowboy is the product of quite possibly the most anticipated mating we’ve ever had at Warntjes Livestock. His sire, “Unicorn” needs no introduction as he has commanded the attention of some of the most prestigious breeders in our industry and already has multiple high selling bucks and wethers on his resume. While his Bravo dam is one of the best looking mature ewes we have ever laid eyes on. We first saw 8204 in a pen of about 100 yearling ewes at Harrell’s and needless to say, she hit us so hard that after lots of back and forth with Tyler and a sizable check being written, she made her way to California. Her first lamb was a Huckleberry wether that we had high hopes for at OYE until Covid happened, and from the moment Space Cowboy and his twin sister hit the ground, we knew we had something special. His twin is one of the very best keeper ewe lambs, and he has matured into the kind of sheep that we think can not only move us forward but help a lot of programs. His build is near flawless, his feet and legs are large, he’s up and out, with the muscle shape and handle that we expected to get from Unicorn. That being said, when we got the invite to The Exchange, we felt it was only appropriate to offer one of our very best!

mock livestock Momma’s not happy! Our buddy Kevin turned over the elite one when we reached out to him about a lot deserving for the Exchange stamp. Sounds like it wasn’t a pleasant conversation with Megan and the crew to get this pulled off, but he always wants to offer something unique or different than most. Truthfully, this one was slated to stay in the DONOR pen… Good for you if you want to add a DONOR or become an instant player. Read below, not a lot of comments required!

Buck offer here!

8811

X-RATED X 7087 (FUZZY X JUNIOR 6106)

UNDOUBTEDLY, THE MOST ASKED QUESTION OF US AT PFEIFFER FARMS IS “DO YOU SELL BUCKS?” OR “WOULD YOU SELL A BUCK?” We have established ourselves as one of the largest premier wether and doe producer in the world. It’s no real secret that we make and sell more high-quality show goats than anyone. With that said, we have always known our place and strive to continue not just producing and marketing awesome show goats, but also to be the most approachable and down-to-earth folks to deal with. When Blake of Kennedy Ventures asked us to consign something into The Exchange, we were honored, and assumed we would consign one of our marquis doe kids that have mostly dominated the Oklahoma majors for 10 years. GM threw a twist at us and asked if we would consider selling ‘part of the buck kid.’ That sounds vague to most but ‘the buck kid’ is our replacement for the most dominant sire we have used to date, X-Rated. 8811, the X-Rated buck kid, comes from a prominent line of winners here at Pfeiffer Farms. Likewise, his mother, 7087 (Fuzzy X Junior 6106), has never dammed a baby that was anything less than a class winner at a major show. She bred as a true doe kid, birthed a single buck kid before most breeders even expose their young does to a buck, and this awesome wether won a class at the Oklahoma Youth Expo in 2019. When a young doe as striking in her appearance surfaces within a herd, most farms run her immediately to the flush table. Pfeiffer Farms is an outlier for demanding productivity at the highest level and therefore we challenged 7087 to breed again on-time, naturally, and kid again before most doe kids at other farms have even had their first baby. 7087 truly delivered… she delivered twins, a buck and a doe, that looked the part. That doe kid won her class at OYE 2020, and the buck kid was wethered and dominated his class at the Houston Livestock Show 2020 under Dr. Scott Greiner. Once again, 7087 bred and has kidded ‘the buck kid’ as he’s known around here. 8811 is a specimen…beauty and brawn… poetry in motion. He’s wide, stout, sound, square, handles like steel, and has the pedigree and family history to rewrite history at Pfeiffer Farms. We are selling ½ interest and ½ possession, including ½ revenue-sharing semen interest, should us and our new partner ever decide to market semen. Kelsey Pfeiffer • 580-370-3154

TWO-FACED X READY TO RUMBLE DAUGHTER

Maybe the best

DOE/FUTURE DONOR BEING OFFERED BY J&J!

The first Two-Faced doe kid made her debut right around this time last year at the Nugget sale in Reno. She ended up bringing just over $11k and had a heck of a show career last fall. We let another go in the Grand Drive sale this January, she brought $10k and has a big future ahead of her if the shows ever get rolling again. This girl has tons of potential as a show doe and should make a dynamite breeding piece, she’s line bred pretty tight, just like we like them! Justin Burns • 916-496-7644

just what every family needs MAREK LAND & LIVESTOCK

CHOICE OF THE LITTER OF PUPPYS FOR LITTER THIS FALL

Breeding elite dogs is just as addictive as breeding elite pigs or cattle. After having a variety of different breeds of dogs as our family pet, we were blessed with our first English lab, Winston. He was a part of our family for 12-years while the girls were young and was truly a great family dog. We loved his demeanor and personality; I knew this was the breed of dog that many people would love and need. Families across the country have added our puppies to their family and we feel very grateful that our pups can bring joy to their family like they’ve brought us. The best photos come from our livestock friends who send photos of their Marek English Labs on their farm. In fact, if you’ve visited Heimer Hampshires, there is a chance you’ve been greeted by their Iowa-bred yellow lab. Like breeding livestock over the past 25 years, I have researched pedigrees and programs to find elite breeding stock. Heather and I have made trips to New York, Minnesota and Texas to purchase dogs. I continue to select the best genetics for our labs and I stand behind my statement that English Labs truly think they are human and have been the best family dog anyone could ask for. Our goal is to keep them light yellow or white with black points (eyes and mouth). Our two females will be bred for this fall and we are offering the buyer the puppy of choice. kennedy’s trio A TRIO OF BB RED OLD ENGISH BANTAMS

If you have ever talked to me you know somewhere in our conversation the topic of my chickens will come up. Starting back in 2015 I had a chance to get an elite female from Ryan Wajte on my trip to California. She was the foundation female which I had built my first program around. In the summer of 2018 you may recall I made the decision to disperse the flock when I had the first online Chicken Sale with SCOnline. After graduation from college in December and returning home, I decided to get back in the chicken business. Like anything else, my first priority was to find unique females to build a flock around. I then have worked with numerous roosters to solidify a solid breeding program and make something unique. I’m to the point I can afford to roll out to the public the very first of this exciting flock we refer to as “THE TRIO”. Since early on, I knew they’d make their debut at the EXCHANGE. If you’re as serious about the chicken business as I am or just want to add a cock and few hens to the place for a great conversation piece with your buddies, PECK AWAY!

Disclaimer: I do have several chicks out of this trio, as well as eggs in the incubator. Feel free to contact for travel arrangements. Health certificates available. Intended for U.S customs, no export licensing currently available.

meats by linz

meatsbylinz.com

Meats by Linz started back in 1963 with my great grandfather Martin Linz. We were just your average mom and pop butcher shop. In the early 80’s large retail stores began to open. They would use meat as a loss leader to gain more traction with the public. My grandfather decided to take the business to the wholesale side and began to sell steaks to the restaurants. My father dropped out of high school to help my grandfather with the business. My father used to do everything from scrubbing the floors, cutting, sales, wash trucks, he did whatever needed to be accomplished. A few years down the road John Majchrowicz and Frank Luna joined our team. My father, John and Frank used to cut meat in the morning, make deliveries, come back shower, and then go out into the city and push our product. My father has always mentioned the importance of where cattle come from and health of a program. He focused mainly on purchasing products of boxed beef throughout the Midwest, but mostly within Nebraska. Even though my Dad worked closely with the plants he purchased from, each competitor could purchase the same product. He wanted something different and found a program called Platinum Gold Angus(PGA). This was his bread and butter! The program was 100% black hide Angus and fit very well with what he had in mind. One day he received a call and PGA was no longer in business. This led him to the 1855 program Swift had created. The program worked as a replacement for PGA, yet in no time competitors began to purchase the same product. That’s when my father decided to create his own program and start Linz Heritage Angus (LHA). We’re located out of Crown Point IN, that’s where we raise the cattle for the genetics used in our buyback program. We sell semen to cow calf producers who in turn produce a calf using a cow that qualifies for our program. The heifers and steers from this mating are weaned, conditioned and sent to the feedlot to be fed for a minimum of 180 day corn fed finish. Our preferred harvesting plant processes the cattle, then the aging process at least 28 days begin, cut to customer specifications, packaged and delivered to the customer. A custom product and process for the CUSTOMER from Linz Meats!
