The apartment is at the top level of the building and the client was asking to re-think its spaces, horizontally and vertically. In particular the requests of the 02 family living here were related to a need of more storage space, a bigger office area and more playlife facilities. The project gives an answer to each point, creating a dress room and other hidden storage spaces, converting the upper floor into a studio, placing a gym in a previously unused space under the roof.

The staircase in the living room is a system of horizontal planes in oak wood, connecting the different floors and providing the family additional surfaces for plants and books. Since the client’s request was to create a staircase he could see through, its structure is entirely hidden, in order to give the impression of suspended elements. The kitchen is composed of an island, some bases and three fully equipped columns. The vertical surfaces are laquered white, for the horizontal ones a natural stone has been used.
