The evolution of horizontal flow system begins with a triangle core space for temporary exhibition,three permanant exhibition rooms surround,and the outside space for other social activity. Along with the evolution,the core permates and expands, and in the end it connect with the outer space in many different ways,

THE CUBE AND THE SECTION OBJECT

Site condition :

Inner flow system:

Funcitonal volume: bedroom, kitchen, living, bathroom

face towards outside with window This project starts by analyzing how the outside environment interferes with the inner flow system in a building.The main functional volumes change their position in space according to the outside change, and this change effects the connection system. I introduce the concept of minimum tree to explore relationship between spaces. With the interplay of different connection systems, the minimum tree shows different forms, which in turn redefines the status of every single space. ARCHITECTURE PERSONAL WORK BEIJING FALL 2010

I introduce the ideal cube and the sectional object to discuss the interaction between outside world and inner system. These concepts will be employed in a programme of a house.

The cube: 14*14 unit, unit=350cm*350cm The cubes are defined on their relationship in the environment, more specifically, in this research, we consider only the light factor, more specifically,the number of faces towards light: one side-face,two side-faces, one side and one top face.

In Qing Dynasty, there are Hutong. People brought all kinds of programmes, for instance a wedding ceremony, a puppet playing. During Cultural Revolution, a collective space was transformed in political way. Tienmun Square is one of the example. Around Beijing Olympic which was held in 2008, Chinese started importing modern typed residence.
