Welcome back to the start of a new term and a special welcome to all our new families, we hope you will enjoy becoming part of our learning community. I must start by saying a huge thank you to all the volunteers who gave up their time in the holidays to help make the school look great. The teachers and office staff have also been busy preparing for an exciting year ahead. The multimedia suite and amphitheatre are looking great and teachers have been busy having training to help them use new technology with the children to improve their learning opportunities. We will be having an official opening of the amphitheatre and multimedia suite on Thursday 15th September. Do come along and join us for the celebrations. We will be serving teas and coffees from 2pm. Sally Tyler, the school bursar handed in her notice at the end of term, we wish her well in her new ventures and thank her for her years of service to the school. Sophie Chan will be taking over from her and Joanne Bradbury and Laura Gibbs will deal with all office and administration matters. School uniform can now be purchased from T King Associates via a link from the school website from the end of next week, we have a few items left in school so do check if you need something urgently. The school website address is http://learning.steepleclaydon.bucks.sch.uk. All school letters will also be available from the website from now on. I remind you that all children should arrive at school for 8.50am when registration starts. All children will be met by their class teacher on the back playground at 8.50am. The playground is only supervised from 8.45am and therefore children should not be left unsupervised before this time. Children should not ride bikes or scooters on the school grounds at any time. We now offer before and after school care from 8am and up to 4.30pm. Please see Miss Gibbs or Mrs Bradbury to book a place. Children attending the extended hours club should enter the building via the old reception playground and into the back door of the Creative Classroom where they will be signed in. We look forward to a busy and exciting term ahead.
