Because quite simply if it doesn’t work as a programme, it will never work as a channel! But what makes for a viable proposition? And what are the essential ingredients for success? There are four key questions which every new TV venture must ask itself, and be able to answer properly and credibly:

Is ‘the care channel’ commercially viable? How is the audience going to know about our programme and how do we measure it? Is our programme content available, sustainable, and affordable?
