Values

What makes St Chad’s tick? Going We aim to be a missional church primarily through “Missionshaped communities” or ministry teams, where groups of people united around a common focus, serve a neighbourhood or group of people. We also seek to affirm and equip people in their individual mission wherever they are - at work, at home, in their school or on their street.

Growing

w We want to be a healthy church where everyone is becoming more like Jesus. We believe that this is most likely to happen when people join in small purposeful discipling relationships, where they can journey and grow together. We also seek to encourage people in their personal spiritual lives, with prayer ts and bible study, pastoral support and groups such as Alpha and YTime for those who want to find out more.

Gathering We want to be a worshiping church where people experience God’s presence in joyful celebrations and God’s healing in a loving community. With three congregations each Sunday, and many mid-week groups, there are lots of opportunities for people to gather together. We help people feel connected through social times and keeping people informed about what’s going on.

We aim to be: Christ-centred - seeking His glory in all we do Missional - responding to His call Relational - loving others in authentic relationships Transformational - intentional about following Jesus as a lifestyle Biblical - applying the message of Jesus to all areas of life Generous - resourcing others in Kingdom ministry

Community

St Chad’s: A Community building communities Small Groups We believe that people find their sense of belonging and grow best spiritually when meeting in a small group.

Christians Against Poverty (CAP) St Chad’s has a CAP team who offer hope and a solution to anyone in debt through courses and support.

Our small groups come in all shapes and guises, but all are encouraged to use our discipling material, Digging Deeper, in order to help each individual grow to be more like Christ.

We are part of Churches Together which links up local churches in Woodley, Bredbury and Romiley.

Small groups are also where people find out more about their spiritual gifts and how they can use them to serve the church, the community, their workplace – in fact, wherever they find themselves!

Alpha If you have big questions about why you are here or if there’s more to life, then Alpha is the place for you. It is a relaxed, low-key environment to find out more with dinner and a discussion. Call the church office for more info.

Our SHAPE appointments help us in this, looking at each person’s spiritual gifts, their heart, abilities, personality and experiences.

Ladies Society Meets between 2-4pm on the first Tuesday of the month in the church Lounge.

Overcomers Outreach 6.30pm Sundays in Lifecentre This group, which is based on the 12-step programme, is open to those and their families/supporters who are seeking to overcome addictions.

Mothers Union Meets at 2pm on the second Wednesday of the month in the church lounge.
