Prayer at St Chad’s •
Following last week's sermon on blessing. Write a list of 10 people or communies to bless, then take me to bless each one.
Pray for the work of The Wellspring in Stockport, caring for and feeding the Homeless.
Reaping and Sowing I menoned in the last noce-sheet that I had to come fresh and think carefully about communicang about Harvest at Romiley Primary school. Well I missed a trick there! Had I taken the me to listen to my sons and find out what they’d rehearsed for the assemblies, I’d have discovered that the theme for the juniors was ‘Reaping and Sowing’! Now that’s a subject which has an abundance of possibilies for teaching about God’s kingdom! [For a start it’s true with parenng; if you listen to your children, there’s a higher chance that they’ll listen to you!] The first thing I want to menon this week is reaping. We’re hoping to reap a wonderful harvest of donaons from amongst us this weekend to give to Wellspring, in order that we can support the wonderful work they do in feeding and helping rehabilitate homeless people. (If you’re receiving this via email – then there’s sll me to bring donaons of non-perishable food or money for Sunday).
Pray for those who work in praccal ways to grow God's church. For administrators, Chrisan publishers, Chrisan media & others.
For Elle & Paul Bird as they prepare to come and join us in Romiley and Elle becomes our new head of Youth & Children's ministry.
Then there’s sowing. As children of God, we sow in so many ways. Through loving kindness, through generous giving, through serving others, sharing God’s truth with people and in every act of living according to God’s kingdom. All of this sows seeds which bear fruit.
For Rev Alex Sanders, new vicar of St.Thomas Mellor as she is installed as vicar there on Tuesday 16th.
Another way is through praying. When we pray, we are sowing into the unseen realm into the future of our church. In many ways the Bible shows us that through prayer, we shape what is yet to come. I really believe that through our focus on prayer this term and then ge4ng into healthy on-going value of praying together, we are se4ng the course for where we go as a church.
For David & Audrey Bomford as they visit Maria's Care School in Kamuli.
For our PCC, as we meet this week. For wisdom, inspiraon and unity.
Cut along the strip and sck our weekly diary and prayer points in your bag/bible!

They will run in the Guywood from 4-5.30pm and 6.30-8pm. Please do come and join us for one of those mes. The teaching will be idencal in both so you only need a6end one! Have a great week, Richard
