N H S even ts Hospital Open Day. September 25th 12.00 noon 4.00 pm. Lots of displays and talks around the hospital, including various prayer stations in the hospital chapel. Volunteer Training Course. We have a meeting on October 5th at 7.30 pm for anyone wishing to know more about being a chaplaincy volunteer. A training course begins on October 12th for six Tuesday evenings. Baby Memorial Service. Sunday October 10th at 2.00 pm at St. George's. Anyone who has ever lost a child is welcome. Age Co n c ern … 21st September 7.30pm Lifecentre Sue Diakiw form Age Concern is coming to talk to the visiting group about the work of Age Concern Stockport and services they offer to the elderly. (The visiting group has recently linked in with Age Concern for referrals).
Pro m Pra i se 18th September 7.30pm Bridgewater Hall A wonderful opportunity for churches in the North West to hear All Souls Church Langham Place orchestra in the Christian version of the Last night of the Proms, Prom Praise. This event would be appropriate for those who love orchestral music, choirs and a presentation of the Christian message. For this occasion the Orchestra will be joined by a choir which combines members of the Sale Choral with a children's choir drawn from schools in the Greater Manchester and Cheshire area. Guest artists are all Manchester-based, with opera tenor Richard Pollock making his Prom Praise debut, joining soprano Margaret Ferguson who is returning by popular demand. We are also thrilled to welcome back to Manchester, former Bishop of Chester, Michael Baughen.
