St Chad’s Notices 27th February 2011 There were a number of words at the Leadership huddle as we looked at Spiritual gifts which may be appropriate for people in the congregation…. One person had a picture of a bridge that went on and on and on into the distance but wasnʼt sure what this meant. Two people in the group had the sense that this was a picture of Gods provision going on and on and on and that we will never come to the end. It was thought that this was a word for the church and for people as individuals. Another had a sense that one person in the group was feeling very much alone even though they were surrounded by people and God wanted them to know that he is caring the burden and that you are not alone. Someone shared after the group time that this was for them. A picture was given about a wall (not a brick wall but a stone cliff face) and people were struggling to get past this wall or climb over it but then a door was placed to open and walk through it.
Contact: Johanna@stchadsromiley.co.uk Give Me your heart: love Me and put Me first, above everything else. What I have said to you in the past is My word to you and I will fulfil it. I want to do a new thing (in the church?) + the word "freedom". Turn your eyes upon Jesus and look! Rejoice in My love. In My love you will find freedom. Picture: Jesus stand in the middle of our circle and coming to each of us in turn, holding our cupped hands in His hands and looking at us with love to encourage us. Stop depending on yourselves. Do not be anxious or afraid. Picture: An old-fashioned sower (of seed) = God shedding His love abroad in our hearts. It was busy (+ve, not -ve) and there was a sense of excitement that God was doing His stuff. Freedom - be free to do a new work for Me.

Utilising the Church "Resource Room" We are looking to redevelop the "Resource Room" which is the small room at the rear of the church, opposite the kitchen. One very good thought is that we would set this up to be used as a room for prayer to include a "Prayer tree" where people could affix prayer requests and together we could pray into them. We could use the room to pray with people too. We know that currently this room is also used for storage and for materials too! If you have a view about how this room should be used, if you currently make use of this room, or if you are aware of an existing/future need for this room (e.g. if you store materials there) please contact David Bomford on 427 5530. David will be looking at responses and proposing a way forward to the PCC. Please get in touch with David this month! Thank you.

Feedback from the 2010 Women’s Days: ‘I felt the Lord’s presence from the word ‘Go’. Every time I go to one of these conferences I feel the same. Knowing that he is at the centre of all these events is reassuring, and that his love holds no bound is truly amazing.’ ‘I had an amazing new Holy Spirit experience which left me literally and metaphorically buzzing!’ ‘It brought me back to my roots. I had been feeling a bit distant from God recently and needed time to renew and feel God’s presence.’ Cost £20. Find out more and book online at www.new-wine.org or speak to Katie Wade
