Introduction to counselling Do you think you might have a ministry to listen to people who are troubled and hurt but worry you might say the wrong thing? This course might be for you! Philippi is a Christian organization that runs counsellor training from introductory level, right through to advanced diploma level. All are accredited and recognized by the Association of Christian Counsellors. I completed my Advanced Diploma training this year and now Iʼm working as a counsellor at a local health centre and here at the Lifecentre. I was introduced to Philippi by Eleanore when I had just come back from a very dark place where even God seemed far away. Through excellent Christian counselling I gradually recovered and embarked on the introduction to counselling course. I found this absolutely fantastic, the others on the course were all Christians and we shared the same ethos towards counselling. I have learned a lot about myself and also about my interactions with others – skills which can be transferred to any situation, problem at work or at home. I will be helping on the course as part of my learning to be a course trainer, and, if this course is successful, as a course leader in the future. I hope to see you there! Iʼd encourage you to pray about what God wants you to do and for the counselling training at St Chadʼs.

Mothers Prayers was formed to help those mothers who wished to pray together for their children and grandchildren and to find the support they needed. Weekly Mondays 7.30pm Loft, Lifecentre NEW GROUP! Thursdays 10.30am at various locations. This week Betty Austin’s house. For info contact Ann Russell 494 8907
