VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL EVEREST, CONQUERING CHALLENGES WITH GOD’S MIGHTY POWER Vacation Bible School will be held Monday, July 16 thru Thursday, July 19th from 6:30 to 8:00PM at the Little Meadows United Methodist Church. Carr at ccarr@misericordia.edu or 570-550-1619. The Ecumenical Society of the Blessed Virgin Mary USA (ESBVM USA) exists to advance the study of Mary, the Mother of Christ, in Christian biblical & spiritual perspectives, and in the light of such study, to promote ecumenical interchange and prayer. Its aim is to show that, in Mary, Christians of many traditions may find a focus in their search for unity. Since the writing of the Gospel of Luke, Christians have revered the mother of our Savior as an exemplary Christian disciple and model of Christian suffering. Although the subject of Mary has, at times, been a source of friction among Christians of differing denominations, the fact that she was the first Christian believer and a heroic follower of her Son has proven a meeting ground for Christians of all traditions. So, whether you are Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, Anglican, Reformed, Non-denominational, Catholic, Orthodox or from any other Christian tradition, please come and join us for a time of study, prayer, reflection and discussion that is certain to feed your mind and spirit as we strive together to live more fully our Christian calling!
