You studied Ecology and your affinity for Nature is proverbial. What brought you to acting? I am from an acting family and, already during my Ecology studies, I attended various drama courses because theatre, film and everything related to it fascinates me, just as Nature does.
You were also a Greenpeace member… This somehow came about naturally. I am not indifferent to Nature and Ecology and when I see the destruction of Nature, it is horrible. I also released my CD of songs, Dessins pour le climat, the proceeds of which went solely to Greenpeace.
But acting is a matter of the heart for you. You had a great opportunity in the successful comedy, Taxi, and entered the awareness of people worldwide in the biographic film, Édith Piaf, for which you also won acclaim as a singer. The comedy, Taxi, really was the springboard and a great chance for me. And Édith Piaf even greater. I made my dream come true and I am happy, because I had never dreamt of such success. I have been singing since childhood, love chansons and their radiating energy. You became the star of French film and this involves various social events and various offers. You are the face of Dior – The Lady Dior Handbag. Dior is an aristocrat, a classic, and I do not know any woman who does not love quality luxury goods. I am greatly honoured to be the face of The Lady Dior Handbag.
The native Parisian cannot be concealed… I was born in Paris, it is my home and my love. Yes, the French know how to dress because they combine style with material – that is our advantage. And what do you prefer in clothing? Definitely elegance. But it does not mean that I must wear high-heels all the time. In any case, a woman should look like a woman – well-dressed and smiling. What does “The power of tradition” mean for you? I think that traditions should be kept, every nation has its own and it is sad when children do not know why this or that is done.
