The Gods of Strangers is a new play by Elena Carapetis that explores the strength, humour and resilience of migrant women in post-World War 2 Australia. To watch the show is to feel that warmth and feeling of connection that you would when you step into your grandma's kitchen, come home for the first time or plunge your hands into the sticky dough of something you used to make together.
To celebrate the premiere of the show, we spoke to members of our company about the strongest women they know and the recipes that remind them of home.
