Genesis 12:3

The ACTS Foundation Bulletin for “Wednesday Women Warriors & Mighty Meditating Men”

The Lord is our Shepherd—Jehovah-Rohe! By Susan G. McIntosh ne of the joys of driving through Scotland is the thrill of watching sheep graze on the mountainsides. I have met a Scottish shepherd, Donald Saunders, and he depicts everything I ever imagined in a shepherd’s character. One of the reasons that he endears himself to many is because of Saunders’ tender heart towards God. During our last visit I asked if I could hold one of his lambs and I wish I had the words to describe the tenderness with which he picked up the little one and handed it over to me. He watched carefully while I held it. It was a shepherd’s love I saw in the man’s eyes. Recently I have come to understand that the Shepherd described in Psalm 23 is the Holy Spirit. How else will we be led if we are not willing to follow? The Holy Spirit is the person of the Godhead who guides us along the right paths of life. Because of His closeness each of us can walk every day unafraid whether you are a deployed soldier or a student away from home for the first time. Even if we have spoken out for righteousness in a federal court of legislators we can experience His bounty because He promises to “prepare a table before us in the presence of our enemies and anoint our head with Oil… my cup overflows” when we follow the Shepherd! Currently the economy in our society might be struggling, but, we let us remind one another that we live in another realm; we are Kingdom sheep and “goodness and mercy follow [us] all the days of our lives”. Invite the Good Shepherd, the Holy Spirit of God, to guide you throughout this week. Fear not! Fear no evil! Thank Him often throughout each day. Worship Him. Introduce Him to others! Led by the Holy Spirit, be a Kingdom of God shepherd to others today and be the answer to another family’s prayers while you are asking God to put His shepherds around your loved ones! (Jeremiah 23:4, “I will put shepherds around them. They will have no fear, no dismay, no lack.”) Glory! SMc Prayer and Praise Susan and Ralph are in Honduras with a team from a church in Moultrie, Georgia. We met Pastor Austin Glass almost ten years ago when passing through Georgia. Now we are enjoying the partnership of blessing Instituto el Rey with installation of a reserve water system and doing other repairs on campus. Please pray for good completion of the water system today and a save trip back to Georgia tomorrow and Saturday. Also pray for funding for completion of a new security wall for the school to protect the administrators and students.

We as the body of Christ often do not operate in the calling God has placed in our lives because we get so focused on making it day by day. We are not aware of why we were placed on the earth. Our struggles have us so blinded that we can not see ourselves as God see us. We were placed on this earth for a particular purpose, but many times we live aimlessly far from our destined path. God has given each one of us a job assignment and we must overcome our obstacles and fulfill the assignment he has destined for us. As I look back over my life, I realize that there was a purpose for my existence. There was a job that I was destined to perform and an assignment for which I was ordained. My assignment has been there since I entered this earthly realm. As God told Jeremiah, before we enter this earthly realm, while we were yet in our mother’s womb our assignment was created and we were ordain for that job assignment given to us by God. So my calling to minister unto God’s people has been the call on my life since before I passed through the birthing canal and met my mother for the first time. As for all of us, the calling God has placed on my life is a unique call that only I can fulfill. As I began to accept the Call on my life and I began to see myself the way God sees me, I began to understand that there will be struggles that come my way because of who I am in Christ. Christ suffered hardships for the sake of the ministry, so I will in turn suffer some hardships. But, because He got up from the grave with all power in his hand, I too will have the victory. I also realized that a lot of the trails that I am encountering are methods to distract me from the job assignment and to get me to throw in the towel and say

“FORGET IT; I AM NOT UP FOR THIS”. You see my very existence is a threat against Satan’s Kingdom, because I am here to share a Word that would literally deliver God’s people from darkness. Some may say that it sounds cocky and self absorbed. In actuality it’s not. God has given me a clear vision that the Word that He will speak through me will deliver his people into their inherited victory. And because I come to tear Satan’s kingdom down, he desires to sift me as wheat (Luke 22.31). Because the CEO of my Company is Jesus Christ, the victory over every trial is already won.

The The

It feels like I have a Monkey of Conviction on my back and its becoming very hard to fathom. I've learned many things in this old tired life of mine, but it seems to be putting me in some type of convicted state that's causing me to withdraw from the world.

“A Cleansing for the Mind, Body, and Spirit” By Marcia Fairweather

This is really complex to me because I have no idea as to how to shake it. I mean I do have a thought as to how to shake it off, but I refuse to step to God whole-hearted when I know that I am not ready to let go of these unkind ways just quite yet.

Greetings, My name is Marvelle Coleman and I am from Winnsboro, SC, but currently residing in Rock Hill, SC. I am a 25 year old single mother to a lovely 8 year old little girl and I recently went through several traumatic months that has lead me into the arms of God all through Silent Prayer. I have written a short story that young people and young adults need to read. Everyone has there problems but you must pray and believe that God will hear you prayer. During lunch, class, work, practice or even the bathroom. If you do not want to speak it, write it! Place it in your bible and watch how God will hear your prayers.

GOD HEARS ALL PRAYERS!

Monkey of Conviction “My Prayer”

Story by Marvelle Coleman

Yeahhhh, I know what you all are saying "You need to get right with God" blah blah blah, but what no one understands is that I am right with God. God favors me in so many ways because I bless those in need and I am suffering because I have been placed on the right path. Jesus suffered because there was a point to be proven and that point was proved to a very high degree that we all have the story engraved into our hearts and minds, but we really haven't taken it into deep consideration. When you're suffering put yourself in his shoes and shut up. You haven't been through anything until you've been through something far worse than that. I'm thankful.

Mark 11: 23-24

Three days of a personal time-out will allow you to notice a difference and hopefully some enhancements in how you perceive yourself and your connections to your environment. For this awareness is the starting point to improving your overall well-being. When we begin to view our body as the physical representation of our mental and spiritual being, the integration and assimilation of all the elements that we take in becomes more important.

The monkey, in my case, is a play around with or alter or falsify, usually secretively or dishonestly. Being convicted is to be in an unshakable belief in something without need for proof or evidence. This is where I am. In an dishonestly convicting state of mind that's keeping me from being honest with myself about things that's going on in my life and keeping me within the unknown because of love for the wrong.

Plan to take three-days for your special time-out and if you’re able to conduct a full-seven-day cleansing process, then go for it!. Perhaps the next upcoming holiday weekend or during a time that you know there won’t be a lot of distractions would be a great opportunity to get focused (and the sooner the better). Plan and prepare to do this time-out period and put it on your calendar NOW. This period may consist of getting away for a weekend escape or just making special arrangements for some solitude time at home away from your family and other obligations. Conducting your-time out with a group of friends provides some camaraderie for the occasion and may also enhance the process. Below is a suggested list of activities that are aimed at your renewal.

I no longer feel as though I need evidence because I have come to terms with what I am here for and its to set some people straight on certain issues within their own minds. I may not be a perfect role model but God is using me to show others that come into my life what to look at and what not to over look. God may change this but I am seeing it all so clearly. I could go into so much detail to make you believe it but those that know me..Duh, I've helped you in so many ways and all I can say is you're welcome. Think about it..REALLY!

TO HELP CLEAR THE MIND: · ·

Some things are just not meant to be and some things are just meant to be! Some things are painfully mistaken as meant to be and some things are utterly, painfully surprising when they aren't meant to be but we still press on either way. No matter how it goes we still find the way to keep going on with life no matter how bad we want it, need it, don't want it, love it, care for it, and miss it. But that conviction of what it should be keeps us from progressing sometimes and we have to live and let live in the end.

All of these and so many other scenarios are Monkey's of Conviction and only we, ourselves, can shake this terrible monkey of conviction off of our backs and do something about it to make our lives a whole lot better. ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS have faith and try your best to make the best out of everything within your life because there's always a hidden pleasure in everything that happens within your life even if it's short term or long term.

Read or learn about new topics by attending a workshop Listen to books on tape or soft music · Use or light-up herbal essential oils with aromatherapy

TO CLEANSE THE BODY: · ·

To be convicted of something is to not have any other evidence and the matter is over and done with. Being convicted within your own mind is not a terrible thing because it can help you turn into the person that you need to be. Only you can convict yourself to that state of mind or convict yourself to your way of living. If you are unhappy in a situation...CONVICTED! If you are in a slump in your life and you feel as though you can't rise because of others or because of whatever...CONVICTED!! If you feel as though you have no way out at anytime...CONVICTED! If you are just sitting around doing nothing about it....CONVICTED! Don't want to listen to your friends and family.....CONVICTED!!!

23 Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it YOUNG ADULTS will be yours.

As we transition from the get out and about spring and summer and into slow-down stay at-home winter blahs we should take an integrated approach of combining mental, physical, and spiritual activities to prepare us for a smoother transition. As we often take a vacation to relieve ourselves from our daily work regime, we should sometimes prepare some private time just for us to renew ourselves, grow, and allow for healing.

Drink healthy liquid drinks, teas, and broths Have a massage, sauna, steam-bath, bubble bath or luxuriating shower · Brush the body with a natural bristle brush · Take and enema or have a colonic to cleanse the colon of old debris and toxins and/or use herbal laxatives to begin the process of cleansing and detoxifying

TO CLAIM THE SPIRIT: · ·

·

Spend time meditating Perform Yoga exercises · Talk nice scenic walks Maintain a diary or journal throughout your period and record your thoughts If we take the time to focus on the spiritual, mental, and emotional aspects of ourselves, the mind becomes clearer, the vital force of the body is recharged, and the integration of the mind, body, and spirit enhances and enriches the total you. What a great way to bring in the new season!

I am trying to relieve my Monkey of Conviction because I am coming to terms with everything from my past...In short...I'm growing up, letting go and letting God, living to love, and learning to love and letting love live.

Get the most

(ARA) - You've heard for years that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Although eating in the morning is a step in the right direction, what people eat appears to be just as important as simply eating.

out of breakfast

A balanced breakfast that includes protein, as well as low-fat dairy, whole grains and fruits or vegetables, helps provide energy, and can help keep people going and be at their best. However, the most recent national data shows that on average, only 15 percent of Americans' daily protein intake comes from breakfast. This means there is an opportunity to shift the balance by increasing the amount of protein at breakfast while still maintaining a balanced diet.

Start The Day The Right Way Kids and adults alike often rush off to school or work without eating breakfast, or just reach for sugary snacks in a frenzy to get out the door. But sugary snacks aren't the only convenient options fit for hectic mornings - more balanced choices that include protein can be quick and easy too. "As a mother of two teenagers, I know how important it is to provide your family with a nutritious breakfast to help get them going in the morning," says Sara Lee spokesperson, Bridget Swinney, a registered dietitian. "Luckily, there are easy ways to bring balance to the breakfast table - even on busy mornings. Something quick, like a Jimmy Dean D-lights Turkey Sausage Muffin, can help get the day off to a good start in only a few minutes." Made with whole grains, egg whites, and either turkey sausage, turkey bacon or Canadian bacon, Jimmy Dean D-lights are convenient and tasty options - all with less than 300 calories and more than 18 grams of protein. Paired with a serving of orange wedges and a glass of low-fat milk, it's a warm, satisfying, balanced breakfast in minutes that can help give people the fuel to take on the day.

There are quick and easy ways to make a balanced breakfast that includes protein a part of your mornings – even the busy ones.

Why Protein Is An Important Part Of The Diet Protein is an essential nutrient that helps keep the body going and is an important part of a balanced diet, particularly in kids, because it provides the building blocks they need to grow and stay healthy. Protein can be found in many foods, such as dairy, nuts, beans, eggs and meat, but protein sources vary widely in their nutritional value. High-quality protein contains all the essential amino acids the body needs and is found primarily in animal sources, such as meat, poultry, fish, eggs, milk and cheese. It is recommended to eat high-quality protein foods that are lower in saturated fat and from a variety of sources. So, make a balanced breakfast that includes protein a part of the daily routine to help provide the stamina needed to start off the morning and focus on all of the important things planned for the day.
