LITTLE STARS PARENT & TODDLERS Reopens on Tuesday 24th September, 10.30am – noon in the Parish Centre. All parents/carers, toddlers & babies welcome. Come along for a cuppa & a chat. EUCHARISTIC ADORATION Due to a fall in numbers which has made it very difficult to man the necessary hours, Eucharistic Adoration will revert back to one day a week on Thursdays only. This will be effective from the beginning of October. For the winter months, from October to March, adoration will take place in the Marian Hall from 10am to 9pm. If you would like to commit to Thursday adoration, or go on a backup list for someone who cannot make their agreed hour, please contact 7083 3733 or 7083 3236. PORTSTEWART CHURCHES FRIENDSHIP GROUP Monday 23rd September: Meeting at 7.30pm in the Presbyterian Church Hall. Monday 21st October: Tony McAuley, author of ‘Paper Boy’ and ‘Bread Boy’ will address the PCFG at 7.30pm in Agherton Parish Centre. All welcome.

PASTORAL AREA INITIATIVE Mystics/Visionaries of the Church Fr Brendan Comerford SJ will present the third talk from his series of 6 next Wednesday 25th September at 7pm in Dunloy Parish Hall. During this week's presentation, Fr Comerford will cover various aspects of the life of St John of the Cross. All very welcome. YEAR OF FAITH TALKS A series of talks on the fundamental aspects of the Catholic faith in All Saints' Church, Ballymena, is resuming on Wed 25th Sept at 7.30pm. Dr Paul McHugh (Principal, Slemish College) will talk on ‘Faith and Science’. All are welcome. [Next talk; Wednesday 23rd October, Fr Paul Fleming, 'Mary - A Model of Faith for Today'] CHARITY BREAKFAST Coleraine Hospice Support Group are holding a charity breakfast in Portstewart Golf Club this Friday 27th September from 7.30 – 10am. Cost: £10. The proceeds will be used to help maintain our care in the community service for people with life-limiting illness. COME FOR COFFEE Macmillan Cancer Support are holding a coffee morning in Portstewart Library on Friday 27th September from 10.30am – 1pm. Everyone welcome. COLERAINE 400 EXHIBITION Coleraine Town Hall 23rd September – 2nd November Monday – Saturday, 11am – 4pm This exhibition showcases the projects which have taken place in 2013, with a focus on the schools workshops and the heritage trail. 17thcentury Coleraine will be explored through archaeology, objects, images and records alongside vibrant children’s artworks. BREATHE EASY FASHION SHOW Lung disease is very prevalent in Northern Ireland, ranging from asthma, COPD and lung cancer. Breathe Easy Causeway is holding a fashion show on Thurs 3rd October at 7.30pm in the Lodge Hotel. Tickets:£12 including fork supper. Fashion, entertainments and side stalls. KNIGHTS OF ST COLUMBANUS One day retreat to Lough Derg on Sat 28th September – part of our Year of Faith Celebrations, open to Brothers, their spouses and families. sandwiches. Booking is available through Lough Derg Pilgrim Office, tel 6863 2391 DIOCESAN CONGRESS & SING A NEW SONG Next Friday, 27th Sept, some of our Year 8 children who were confirmed last year will gather to share how they have received those gifts of the Spirit and how they might share them. Ask your RE teacher or contact Sally Andrew if you want to be part of this. Next Saturday, 28th Sept the doors open at 9.00am in the Waterfront Hall, Belfast as the diocese holds its inaugural Congress. Clergy, religious and lay faithful from every parish in the diocese will gather together. It will be a chance to meet old friends and new, to pray and reflect and look to the future. Opening prayers at 9.45am. At the end of the Congress we invite you to come to the concert: Sing a New Song, our celebration of faith starting at 7.30pm. It will be a wonderful evening capturing in music, dance and song the beauty of the Church past and present and seeking inspiration for the Living Church into the future. Next Sunday morning, at the end of Mass, there will be a special DVD presentation of the Congress. Please note the change in the times of Masses next Saturday in the Masses This Week note. “CATHOLICS ARE BIBLE CHRISTIANS!” You are invited to a series of talks exploring this theme given by Fr Martin Graham at St Bride’s Parish Hall (Derryvolgie Ave. Belfast) on the first four Tuesdays in October. A further talk will be given by Fr Michael Maher SM on the message of Fatima for today on 29 Oct. The talks start at 8pm and there will be an opportunity for questions.
