YEAR OF FAITH TALKS The next in a series of talks being held in All Saints' Church, Ballymena, to celebrate the Year of Faith, is 'Mary - A Model of Faith for Today' by Fr Paul Fleming (St Mary's University College) on Wednesday 23rd October at 7.30pm. STELLA MARIS There will be a meeting of the magazine's editorial team in the Parish Centre on Thursday 24th October at 6.30pm. We are always interested in new ideas, so if

PORTSTEWART COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION RED SAILS 2014 Thanks to a grant from Coleraine Borough Arts Committee, we plan to pay for 25 free places in a children's Modern Dance & Hip Hop Dance workshop provided by Maiko Dance Factory 7 x 1hr weekly sessions starting first Mon in June at 7pm. The workshop is for 510 year olds and will lead to a performance during the festival week. Grants also enable us to provide a Print Workshop during the festival week and cover the cost of 10 of 17 Cafe Acoustic Sessions. These sessions are aimed at musicians/singers who include original material in their sets. MARIE CURIE HELPER SERVICE The Marie Curie Helper service is provided by trained volunteers who offer one - to - one support to people with a terminal illness (cancer and other illnesses), completely free of charge. Marie Curie Helper volunteers support people in their homes, offering a few hours of their time each week to provide a listening ear and companionship; give families and carers a short break from their caring role; offer practical support. A Marie Curie Helper does not provide any nursing or medical care or advice. Our Helper volunteers are provided with training and support to enable them to undertake their roles.
