COLLECTIONS Last weekend’s parish collection came to £1551. Thank you for your generosity and support. THIS WEEK’S COLLECTION The second collection today is the yearly collection for the education of our student priests. There are currently ten young men training for priesthood in the diocese, three of whom, Dominic, Andrew and Conor, are deacons. The other students are James, Manuelito, Tony, James, Michael, Kevin and Christopher. Please remember them in your prayers. GIFT AID Grateful thanks to all who have filled in their gift aid forms. The Parish has just received a payment of £17,375 from HMRC for 2013/14. If you haven’t already signed a declaration, please

PARISH CELL PRAYER GROUP The meeting of the Parish Cell Prayer Group which was scheduled for Monday 12th May, and regrettably had to be cancelled, will now be held on Monday 19th May at 8pm. Our theme for the evening is how the Blessed Virgin Mary can be our guide and our scripture reading is Luke 1:39-56. NORTH CONNOR YOUTH PROJECT SUMMER SCHEME 2014 The annual summer scheme for children aged 4–11 years will run from Tuesday 1st to Friday 4th July from 10am– 2pm in St Malachy’s Parish Centre, Coleraine. It is also hoped to have a “fun day” for families on Saturday 5th July. The summer scheme is an opportunity for young people to engage in fun activities, try out new things and learn about their faith. The costs are as follows: 1 child £30; 2 children from one household £55; 3 children from

one household £80; 4 or more children from one household £105. Application forms are available from the primary schools in the local parishes. Closing date is 14th June. DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES Seats are still available for the 5 night pilgrimage, 11-16 July departing from Belfast. For further information and booking forms, contact the Pilgrimage Office on 90646040 or email dcpilgrimage@gmail.com DISCUSSING THE DIOCESAN REVIEW As you know, right across the Diocese during Lent there was an audit of pastoral activity in each of our parishes. On 4th June in Ballymoney Parish Centre at 7.30pm there will be an opportunity for people from our parish and all other parishes in the vicariate to come together to receive initial feedback from the review and to consider the implications for the future. This is an important time in our parish, diocese and Church. Please come along and take part in the evening. ST COLUMBANUS PILGRIMAGE TO ROME To celebrate the 1500th Anniversary of the death of St Columbanus a Year of Columbanus is being opened in Rome on 12 October 2014 with a Mass in St John Lateran, the Cathedral Church of Rome. There will also be a concert given by ‘The Priests’ and an International Meeting of countries and parishes evangelised by St Columbanus. A Pilgrimage led by Bishop Treanor will depart from Dublin from 8th – 15th October. Accommodation will be in 3 star hotels in Rome and the cost per person sharing is €995. Application forms can be downloaded from the Diocesan website. BETHANY BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP is a parish based group ministry which aims to help those bereaved and grieving. As of January 2014 there are 24 parishes in the Diocese with Bethany Teams. SVP CLOTHING DRIVE The next clothing drive takes place on the weekend of 31 May/2 June. Bags will be distributed next weekend.
