ion, says secretary of the Circle of Peace Naureen Choudhry, who came up with the project idea with her friend Revati IIanko, who is also a member of Casey Arts and Cultural Advisory Committee. "We chose this name because we want women, especially brides who are starting a new phase in their life, to feel inspired and emboldened to bring about a change not only in themselves but in the people around them," the pair said. The launch will be held on Sunday 16 June at 11.30am and everyone is invited to partake in the unveiling of the mannequins and an art activity. The free event will run until to 27 July.

By Brendan Rees Vibrant dress wear was the theme of the day at Hampton Park Primary School as the school celebrated Afghani culture. On Friday 7 June, the school held an Afghani Day to celebrate learning the Afghani language and culture. The students participated in a range of activities including a presentation from talented dancers, and tasting of some delicious Afghan food. School principal Liz Davey said students had the opportunity to learn so much from the broad experiences of their peers, with so many different cultures represented across the school. "As a school we have planned other culture days across the year to highlight our diversity and to continue to celebrate and acknowledge our diverse community," she said.
