About the Editors John Stone is Professor of Sociology at Boston University. Born in London and educated at the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford, his research interests in the field of race relations started with a chance visit to apartheid South Africa in the 1960s. He was the Founding Editor of Ethnic and Racial Studies and has written numerous books and articles on the subject Rutledge M. Dennis is Professor of Sociology and Anthropology at George Mason University. A Recipient of The Joseph S. Himes Lifetime Achievement Award from the Association of Black Sociologists and The Du Bois-Johnson-Frazier Award from The American Sociological Association, he is the author, co-author, editor and co-editor of thirteen books. Anthony D. Smith is Professor Emeritus of Nationalism and Ethnicity at the London School of Economics, Honorary President of the Association for the Study of Ethnicity and Nationalism, and the Founding Editor of the journal Nations and Nationalism. Polly Rizova is Associate Professor of Management at Willamette University’s Atkinson GSM. Her research interests are in the areas of management of technological innovation, the effect of social networks on group and organizational performance, and in the study of Race and Ethnic relations and organizational diversity.
