MESSAGE FROM ADMINISTRATION Dear School Families, Thank you to the families JOYously supporting the Deacon Mike Mims Memorial Golf tournament this week – there is still time to register to play, contribute to classroom sponsorships, and purchase raffle tickets. We are also looking forward to having parents help at “golf day” in P.E. classes and join us at Shankz and Panera Bread on Wednesday, October 26th for Spirit Night! We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible!

We're also looking forward to a great Red Ribbon Week next week. Activities get underway next Monday and continue through Friday. More information and details are included in this week's Messenger. Thanks to all of our students who entered the Red Ribbon Poster Contest.

Our discipleship message for the week asks a question. Are we living God's plan in our lives?

God’s greatest desire is for you and I to have a relationship with Him through Jesus. When we have that relationship through prayer and scripture He will show us the plan He has for us through the works of the Holy Spirit. Saints are people who live out God's plan in their lives.

Each one of us is called to be a saint and do just that. We have been given a unique set of gifts and talents that are to be used to build the Kingdom of God here on earth. The responsibility we have for living out God's plan starts at home with our families and then moves with us when we come to school each day. It also goes with us when we go into our neighborhoods and communities. Think about a few other questions. Do our words and actions show that we are living God's plans for our lives? Do they show that we are choosing another path because it's more fun, it's the cool thing to do or it's easier? Following God’s plan takes hard work. It requires making difficult choices and saying no to things we know are hurtful to God so we can be the best that we can be every day. If we keep our words and actions Christ-like we will be living God's plan in our lives just as all the saints before us.

The month of October is flying by quickly. One of the busiest times of the year is upon us.

Although busy, this time of year brings new memories, opportunities for fellowship with family and friends and a chance to reflect and grow in our faith. Thanks for being with us for fall conferences! We’re all looking forward to the great weekend weather that’s in store. May the coming week bring God's blessings to you and yours.

No. Halloween Science Day takes place on Halloween but students do not wear costumes. Teachers have some fun activities planned for Halloween Science Day on Oct. 31st!

Due to carline schedule and safety the latest early pickup time we can accommodate is 2:50 p.m. After 2:50 p.m. students must go through carline or parent pick-up.

2012-2013 GHCAA Championship Coach Elaine Burks is excited and ready to hit the court for the 2016-2017 basketball season.

BASKETBALL NOTES:  Parents can pay by check or in ParentsWeb via PayNow for their basketball athletic fee.  Basketball practice will begin the week of October 24th.  There is a basketball parent meeting November 3rd at 6:30 p.m. Parents are encouraged to come to the meeting in order to meet the coaches and get schedules.
